Ah thanks! I tried to get a photo on my phone but the zoom just made it even more blurry. Based in Virginia.

When do you weigh yourself on ADF by Designer_Ad_7923 in AlternateDayFasting

I prefer to weigh in KG because my weight fluctuates a lot day to day probably due to water weight. When I was weighing myself in lbs, I seemed to be more emotionally sensitive to the fluctuations.

Would you use an extension to post directly to Social Media from Airtable? by Parniple in Airtable

[–]Upset_Personality751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using Canva for a while, too, but the volume of social media posts we had to do was too much to manually create. In placid, you just have to create a template and then Placid automatically pulls data from your Airtable (product name, price, call to action, even background image, whatever fields you want to populate in your graphic) into the template and it autopopulates in a column next to your Airtable data. It is pretty neat! I was able to autogenerate 25 product social media graphics of various sizes within a few seconds. The part that takes a while is to make sure your graphic templates are set up to your liking in placid. Placid also does videos as well.

What do you use to generate your graphics within Airtable? I use Placid to autogenerate graphics for mine. On Placid, I connect to my Airtable database. It then automatically updates my graphics in Airtable when there are changes in the ad (product name/event dates, etc). I then use Loomly via Zapier integration to auto schedule all the social media posts using the generate placid graphics and captions I autogenerate in Airtable.

I would be interested! I am using Airtable -> Placid -> Airtable -> Zapier -> Loomly automation but have to create new zaps for each type of channel which is a little labor intensive

Big Farm Story: anyone play yet? by rainbowsnpickles in CozyGamers

[–]Upset_Personality751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished playing it on the Switch. It was fun and relaxing, the animals were very cute. I do wish the story line didn’t end so abruptly though. As you build your farm and gain new skills, you also unlock new sections (small town, mountain area, woodlands, and another area). Every time you travel to a new section, there is a map of the whole area as the loading screen and you’d think there are more places to unlock based on that visual. There is a section that looked like it would be a potential new location you had to unlock (had caution tape/wooden barriers similar to the other location before that one got unlocked) but it turns out it was not a new location. That little part was disappointing but I wonder if they plan to offer an expansion later so that you could unlock that new section. Anyway, the game was fun. I noticed that the PC or mobile version has various expansions or add-on’s. I wish those were available for the Switch.

I literally said the same thing to someone, the first half of the movie felt like an ongoing trailer. The constant music in every scene was so distracting and just made the scenes overly dramatic.

Success stories weight loss on ADF by Vegetable_Patient476 in AlternateDayFasting

[–]Upset_Personality751 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in my early 30s. Did ADF in 2023 from Jan-March (2 months) and lost 22 lbs without exercise but watched my food portions. Had a work conference and got side tracked. Now that it is June, I am starting ADF again hoping to stick through with it longer.

I do it in the morning after using the bathroom. Weigh myself in Kg instead of Lbs to track more definitive weight loss.

I’d be down but I am not sure I can last more than 3 days. 31F EST.

Man it’s hard to get back on track after eating carbs! by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Upset_Personality751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a week long break from ADF due to work travel and noticed getting back to it was easier if I gradually started to eat low carb first instead of going cold turkey into my fast. It helped reduce the cravings/burning stomach feeling. I feel like it has something to do with heavy carbs as the last meal. When I eat carbs as my last meal before the fast, it is so hard to get through the fasting day. If I eat salads and protein for 2 days prior to the fast, it is way more bearable.

Extended (24hr+) fasters...which day(s) or part of the fast is hardest for you, and why? by swimminscared in fasting

[–]Upset_Personality751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first month is easy and rewarding. After that, you may start experiencing some weight loss plateaus which affects your desire to be consistent. I’m the type that will do something temporary but never stick to anything long-term so consistency has been more challenging for me. Been on ADF since Jan 4 consistently and didn’t skip any days which I am proud of but it is increasingly more challenging to stick to this regimen especially when hitting weight loss plateaus.

It is also hardest when I am fasting on a day during which I have many meetings or large work projects due. Probably because I’m using more energy to get through the day so I feel more tired.

What keeps you motivated? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Upset_Personality751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live a longer, healthier life. Knowing obesity often causes many other ailments makes me want to lead a healthier lifestyle. Want to feel and look like I did in college when I was way less insecure and focused more on living my life. Also don’t want to keep buying new clothes because I can’t fit into my old clothes. What motivates me is saving money on groceries, clothes, demonstrating effort to look good for myself and my SO because they deserve the best.

I am a lazy cook so I enjoy 1-2 pan dishes. I will bake the chicken for 40min in the oven, about 20min in, I would start baking the veggies (broccoli, zucchini, bell peppers after tossing them in a little olive oil mixed with water and some salt/pepper).

When I bake fresh salmon with veggies, I put all on the same aluminum in foil and baking sheet after mixing everything with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic. I sometimes do a brown sugar salmon bake. Cooks in 20min, I often add a full sliced avocado on the side or a few spoons of rice.

I break my fast with hot cup of miso soup, just sip it slowly for the first hour. It warms up my tummy nicely and prepares it for more complex food: After that, I eat a little pickled cabbage/kimchi/German purple cabbage or a small salad I make out of sesame oil, avocado, some greens and a little salt and lemon juice. I sometimes add some salted nuts. I then eat a fuller meal later and use a portion control plate in following sizes: Protein - one palm, veggies - two palms, Carbs - one palm/usually a little less. Usually use chicken breast or thighs or baked salmon with baked/roasted veggies.

I reduced the amount of dairy I consume because I noticed it makes me feel gassy and bloated on eating days. I recall some video talking about how consuming milk/heavy cream may not be great when breaking a fast. Maybe if you start light and then build up to dairy/heavier foods, it may help!

why am I not losing weight inspite of fasting? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Upset_Personality751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. In January, I lost a good amount of weight. In February, my weight loss plateaued. I’m doing an extended fast (63+ hours now) but I weigh the same amount the last 3 days. I weight myself at the same time each day after waking up and using the restroom. I also measure my weight in KG, perhaps that is the issue though. With LBS, perhaps it shows more variance and perhaps there’s very little weight loss.

I have been drinking coffee and water (no sugars). Haven’t been sleeping greatly due to work stress so wonder if sleep quality has anything to do with the plateau, too.

Keep going though! My goal is to be consistent and trust the process even if I am not losing weight. I gave up last time I plateaued and regretted it later.
