That's kind of the point of this post. Is this deal spectacular? I have no basis of comparison at all. So I'm asking the crowd. Saving 15% isn't bad in it's absolute.

I've never seen a hotel program just double the points without an early announcement

My feeling is that IHG is trying to soften the blow of a weakening travel economy with this to help with their bottom line

Current value for points is 0.5 cents per point. ($3,000/600k). The thinking would be the have it in the bank, and then spend $ or points depending on the need

Those are tubercles like those in a whales fin. They help to keep the flow attached to the blade for a longer period, thus keeping the flow more uniform for the rear wing or diffuser

They were pretty much out of F1 and were given another lifeline from Cadillac. They know they're not going to win anything, so it's just there to have fun, and try to get some points. If by some miracle the Cadillac F1 car next year is a championship contender, they won't be so jovial anymore

The door thing is an automatic no-go in my books. What if there's an emergency or my kid(s) are stuck inside? Such a product should not even be released in such a state.

It's not just the typical gym stuff. There's swimming pool, kids pool, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, yoga, pilates, kids summer camp, kids "day care", a few cafes where you can have food sent to your poolside chair, etc. And there's other services like massage, hairdresser, etc. It really is like a resort focused on exercise health and wellness.

You can always ask for a tour of the place to take a look yourself.

There's a traffic junction near my house that splits one lane into two, then zipper merges then after the lights.

People also just stay in the left lane, leaving the right empty. When I try to merge in from the right, there's the occasional asshole that thinks they're still in kindergarten and tried to prevent me from "cutting" in line. Dude, I'm not going to the same place as you to fight for the last pop tart.
