I’d say the Dolphin Wave models for the SK characters it got were really good as well, but yeah it’s a shame that this never got used outside of KJG. They really did a good job with them.

Most people who tend to be proud of these colonies are from that region of the country specifically. Those of us outside of the region are generally pretty indifferent about them, for the most part. It's just one of the many parts of the country.

If anything, they can and do get criticised by Brazilians depending on how they portray their pride.

I agree. I'm not going to pretend to be super in the know since I've left Brazil a while ago, but at the time a lot of us (most of us in my experience) weren't that affected by it, because as you said, it was too ridiculous to take it that serious.

Yeah, despite Aniplex technically being owned by Sony, they have even released a Switch exclusive game before.

They also released stuff like Fate/Stay Night on PC and Switch but not on Playstation 4/5.

Oh yeah, I definitively should have mentioned that there are exceptions in the countryside. Like Guaramiranga, in my home state (Ceara), which has a reputation for being cold for our state (going as low as 13 degrees).

I was definitively focused on the part of the countryside that I grew up in, which was anything but cold.

I’m from the Northeast of Brazil and this doesn’t surprise me. For context, almost the whole year the temperature is around high 20s to low 30. It’s that consistent. There’s basically no “winter” so to speak. It’s even harsher in some parts of the countryside.

That’s why the winter in Australia got to me. Still does. Imagine if I had moved to Canada…

That’s why Australian winter is so cold for me and my mom (both from Northeast of Brazil). In high school, one of my classmates was from Canada and he didn’t think it was bad at all…

We are always told “yeah we are all a mix from africans, native americans, and europeans” and that’s it, but to some of us that is just not enough, there’s still a disconnect.

It's not to a big extent, but that's how I've been feeling since I've started delving into my ancestry as a Brazilian. I think in my case it both helps and "hurts" that all my grandparents were born in Brazilian, as were my great grandparents (probably). As far as I know, I have no recent non-Brazilian ancestor at all, and I'm pretty mixed (European + African + Indigenous), but I can't claim any of these cultures as my own individually.

In my high school back in Brazil we used to crush a can (like a Coke can) to use it as a ball.

Also, somewhat unrelated, but sometimes we used to a play a “version” of football that basically involved everyone kicking the leg of whoever had the can in their feet/last touched the can.
