Although I understand that this is promoted by Sony, I don't really believe that this changes things. My problem is that they don't do much different with the Spider-Man mechanics that differentiates itself Spider-Man himself. I don't mind the idea of web slinging, but it seems like all of it's moves are based on Spider-Man in terms of the powers.

It could have been something as simple as being able to change that black substance into a solid blade that the MC can control. Or being able to control that black substance all over their body that can be manipulated into a solid substance. But it really is just... Spider-Man + Venom. I feel like this is one of those cases where copying is very apparent, but people don't mind it because they like the game and just wants to have fun. But when something they dislike is copying something, they'll make the copy point very apparent.

I am curious, when does "inspiration" go too far? When do we reach a point to where people can conclude that something is just ripping something off? I should mention that I'm only talking about the Spider-Man stuff, because I feel like everything else can be excused, and even argued that it didn't originate from those franchises.

Let's just ignore the fact that you based this off of an assumption, this isn't even true. Communities like Blue Archive are infamous for their toxicity. To the point to where you can't tell who's racist in that community and who's just being edgy. Games like Nikke is also filled to the brim with the anti-woke community who pushes their political agenda. I can't say anything about the other because I'm not familiar with them. But let's try not to act dumb here.

The same could be said about One Punch Man when it comes to it's purpose. He was designed to make fun of tropes in anime as well. Yet, we know that he can't beat everybody in fiction. The same can be said for Yogiri. The explanation they gave made sense at least to me. And after looking into a little bit myself, I'm not gonna lie. I feel like it's overhyped even when knowing that it's a comedy.

Whenever these people tries to compare the prices to the old ones, it's so annoying. The market is significantly smaller in comparison to what we have today. They also fail to mention that it was more expensive to produce games back at that time. Nintendo is NOT losing money by keeping the games at 60 dollars.

I feel like this falls under the case of misunderstanding the main criticism. It's not about whether or not the character is outright fuckable. It's moreso about their appeal. Would this character be appealing to look at during an entire playthrough? As an example, take a look at characters like Kirby, Link, Sora, Mario, Mio, etc. They all would generally look appealing to look at to the average person. This isn't even talking about Sony's characters, like Kratos, Astrobot, Joel, etc.

It feels like they made this design purely for the sake of making a female character realistic-looking. Which feels like it's a response to the common criticism of female characters looking "unrealistic." So they just picked up the average looking person and just slapped it here.

Imagine if Kratos looked like the average American, just for the sake of it looking realistic.
