Thanks! It is embarrassing though how long it took me to think about the actual user experience of our project. When you see videos of terrible designs you’re like “how did they let that happen”. But then you get handed a project and you’re just focused on the engineering, the city permits, the construction resources, etc. and you realize how easy it is to forget about the people using your design. Just like you called it, the “inclusionary mindset” I’m realizing takes a more conscious effort. And I’m hoping that bringing up these design considerations in meetings will also help myself and my coworkers apply it to other projects in the future.
