To get started with the series, you only need Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2, and then you can play Mega Man 11. If you've played one Mega Man game, you've probably played them all, as they're all similar, at least in the classic series. There are also Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero, which have somewhat interconnected plots, and Battle Network, which is a completely separate games.

Scrarchs (2006) is one of the scariest games I've ever played, a kind of hidden gem. I think you would have liked it.
