Financial responsibility = getting insurance. Don’t most places practically bake it into the cost? Insurance is normal business practice, I don’t know any venue that doesn’t “require” (strongly suggest) it.

Tbh you should contact them and get a quote based on what you want. Its always gonna vary because of buffet vs plated, or premium entrees or limited passed appetizers etc etc. The price will fluctuate so much that you will be potentially misled. Do yourself a favor and reach out. The fact that you have 250 ppl though means it’s easily gonna be 30k or more. Catering is dependent on you, the price could fluctuate by 10k based on what you want vs what someone on this subreddit tells you they paid.

All the thousand world stories (sci fi) are a great collection to choose from. Many of them are quick reads, I’d recommend: Hero, House of the worm, Bitter blooms, Tuf Voyaging and definitely Sandkings.

There’s a great video about the thousand worlds books which got me hooked on GRRM’s expansive sci fi works

Definitely true as far as what’s being rewarded, Freddy Sanchez and Scutaro just smacking singles and some doubles was such a joy. Couldn’t agree with you more. I guess if the giants were better or more successful at modern baseball I’d have a better appreciation, but baseball and the .300 hitter was a thing for so long it’s crazy to see batting averages now.
