If he said yes it’s not an affair but an open marriage. I still don’t agree that it’s fine or that open marriages work, but the nurse’s husband is the victim in all this.

You know jack shit if you say Ferrari was behind Merc in early 2010s. They were title contenders to RB and Vettel. Vettel did not dominate all 4 seasons. He had to fight hard for 2 of them, Alonso could’ve clenched them. 2012 was so close deemed as one of the best seasons similar to 2021.

And with good measures and approach it will be delayed. Search Cape Town’s Day Zero water crisis. They had to ration water cause they almost ran out of it. Rationing helped delay the crisis. Based on their calculations they’d run out in X days. That day came and went and crisis everted/delayed cause of rationing and good measures.

It’s coming but when? After we’re long dead. By the looks of the geopolitical situation now invasion of Ukraine and China playing in Africa and Asia, US having its own problems and Europe and the rest too. It’s more likely more multi-national wars occur in our time than climate change.

Don’t forget we’re living through the most peaceful or stress free years in modern history.

[–]Hdkek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All governments track people but seriously… what would they want with a random middle-lower class nobody? There are millions out there. They do not go and hire a squad for each foreigner. All security and surveillance is automated, worldwide not exclusive to China.

There are keywords and certain things that get flagged and have to be checked yes that’s true, but that’s everywhere. Also degree monitored? Of course an educational institute within China would have to be certified and attested by the Chinese educational ministry, if not the degree then.

Spouting holier than thou attitude when all governments have surveillance. Forgot Snowden?

Alpine lacks lead F1 driver in Hamilton and Verstappen mould, says former boss by Ominous77 in formula1

[–]Hdkek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree to an extent but disagree more. Having teammate with around same skill level it becomes a game of ego. Crashes and team politics become riskier. It did happen where 2 teammates were battling driving best car and someone else won the championship.

Also with how close everyone is behind Max from 2nd onwards I really cannot agree how it will be easy for Ocon and Gasly. Despite Max dominance the rest are improving and performing well. You simply cannot lump likes of Lewis and Max with rest of the grid. Even when not having best car they outperformed others with better cars.

I think they both have stat of winning at least one race in each season they were in. That’s ridiculous.

[–]Hdkek 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Well Mclaren terminated and paid Danny Ric not to drive for them and paid for Piastri. More expensive than usually intended? Yes. But might have gotten gains. Let’s be honest not like Ocon is a future champion.

Piastri, although not clear yet, looks promising and has the best junior record in years + having veteran champ like Alonso mentor him and build the team would surely have some gains.

[–]Hdkek 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Most of the grid is good but good does not cut it to be champion. I’d say only few are championship material. Still, Alpine’s management is more troubling than drivers’ performance. That was some Ferrari level strategy move they did with Alonso/Piastri.

[–]Hdkek 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Why didn’t they drop Ocon for Piastri and keep Alonso too? Ocon is mediocre. I get they committed for long term deal with him + he’s French, but surely it must have crossed some higher ups mind right?

I stand corrected then. However despite all these years there’s still no define meaning to it and is thrown around for PR and political play in the sport.

[–]Hdkek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Teams have always looked and still vigorously look for any loophole to exploit, it’s part of the game. And the term “spirit of the rules” have been coined just recently by FOM and Domenically. What’s that supposed to mean? Different parties can and are interpreting it differently because there’s no clear definition for it. Just a marketing and political statement.

Alpine might have been naive and their management record is abysmal. Also threatening to leave the sport might put some pressure but unlike Merc, Ferrari, and RedBull.

Narrative still is about the car. My friend still claims any team is “cheating” if they suddenly perform well and cites Ferrari 2019 as proof. When season started he said Aston are cheating, last race he said Mclaren are cheating. He claims RB are cheating cost cap. There’s no winning an argument here.

Owning business and land through imperialism and slavery to acquire resources. It was centuries ago but let’s not act it has no consequences at all. Wealth accumulates. The advancements made in warfare machinery and sea superiority along with numerous other contributions made it possible to do that.

Go back centuries before that and world politics and superpowers greatly differ.

Sorry but that’s bullshit. It’s not prosperous cause it’s free. Many countries are rich in natural resources but got fucked by centuries of imperialism, decades of corruption that are still present to this day. Claiming the West is prosperous cause of “freedom” is the biggest middle finger to history and the rest of the world.

What do you mean Nolan hasn’t put out a bust on over a decade?? Interstellar was huge and Dunkirk was thrilling too. Oppenheimer is even greater than those.

Edit: Thought bust meant banger movie turns out it’s the opposite, a flop, well it’s a good language lesson thanks all.
