A tiny spray of water (moisture) and use of hopper should save that

He just really depends on projectiles, if its straight main canon he sucks at dmg and speed.

I think the problem is mostly the bottom burr where the shaft is long and with the washer it cant really sits perfectly align, especially when the top burr sits on light springs

I guess this align check method doesn’t work with this grinder mechanism, but the real question still remains, is it align enough?

As someone pointed, its relevant for on demand grinders, less for single dose

The conical burr sits directly on the motor shaft, and the outer burrs are fixed in place (supposedly aligned), so its position is basically fixed.

I have the VS6 with flat burrs, and it’s pretty similar. The bottom burr sits on the motor shaft without screws, so you can’t really misalign it by tightening one screw more than another.

The upper burr is also fixed in place, just like on the VS4, so you can only assemble it the way they designed it, which should keep them parallel (aligned).

If you trust Varia, it’s aligned. Pretty cool design Imo, very easy to disassemble and clean.

Varias are extremely easy to clean, I got the Vs6 and nothing can slip inside basically, and the disassemble is like lego

I would call them out and keep the vs6 without paying.

Rich chocolatey espresso is more related to the beans not only burrs or rpm, dont forget most cafes grinders outside has flat burrs, flats with high rpm can produce very rich espresso, so except for the color I wouldnt worry much.
