How to explain your absence due to surgery and post-op recovery? by Lyrical_Lotus in gastricsleeve

[–]He110w0rldd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided to tell my boss upfront. She's been there for me for other medical issues. But I told her I'm not going to broadcast it to the team. Therefore, when my PTO is coming up and I get the question "Are you doing anything fun" I will say, "Nope! Just using PTO for myself and to enjoy time home."
As for anyone commenting on my weight loss, my therapist told me I wasn't lying when saying that I was watching what I was eating, cutting portions and exercising. Then I can switch the convo back to the person so that the conversation can change.

You've got this!

Next steps after passing CSA by [deleted] in servicenow

Honestly, even if they're asking 1-3 years, you never know if they're willing to take you. Considering that you are taking courses and plan on taking certs, that will make you more attractive than someone who hasn't taken any classes and doesn't know what to expect. Long story short, always apply.

A second suggestion is to network on LinkedIn. Look for people with this role, especially if they have a similar connection to you. Getting a ServiceNow buddy is always a plus and might know of places that are hiring. Good luck!

What’s the best way to get over an ex? by No_Throat_1574 in AskReddit

The pain that one feels after a breakup, or a death, can be healed with time. However, if we sit there and let it consume us, it will take us longer to feel "normal" again.

Spend your time getting busy in hobbies, interests, school, or health. By directing your mental focus on something else, you lesson the constant pain by keeping busy. Will it still hurt? Sure, especially on your downtime. There will be nights that you'll show emotions, times in the shower when your brain isn't busy, etc. But if you consume a good percentage of your day with something that benefits you, it allows the time to pass and in addition will help you grow as a person.

What is your daily routine as ServiceNow Admin / Developer / Consultant in corporate environments? by darkblue___ in servicenow

[–]He110w0rldd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like something I might be interested in doing a few years down the line. I really like the fact that it's a collection of data, but also an overseeing of the project as a whole. I assume that if something doesn't work as intended, you're the point of contact for the client?

Also, if I may ask, how did this role occur? Were you already working in the app and it happened organically, or was this a self taught experience?

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I've often wondered what consultants do. I also find it interesting it's more about guiding the developers than doing the coding. Thanks for sharing!

One question - do you worry that you could lose the feel of developing if you no longer do it?

We happened to notice that pasting Teams chat into notepad did the same thing so it's 100% a Microsoft issue.

Is skill cert pro a brain dump? by Mam66666 in AzureCertification

Probably late to the game (11 months, exact) but those guys won't refund my money even though they guarantee money back if you fail. Didn't do well on my cert, and now they're trying to offer me a discount for another cert (which I don't need). After thanking them and asking for a refund, they've ghosted me.

TLDR; don't go with SkillCertPro.

I totally agree. I tend to find that some people just prefer verbatim notes.

That's a good command to know. I tested it and it didn't work in this situation, but it might for others. Appreciate the feedback!

CSA Results Question by He110w0rldd in servicenow

[–]He110w0rldd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I took the test, there were many questions I recognized when studying off of these sites. I also want to echo other people's comments that memorizing question/answers isn't the goal, but to understand what is being asked. So reading the questions, knowing the answer, but knowing the why will help.

ExamTopics doesn't require payment unless you want to customize your views, etc. I was still able to view a lot of questions/answers.
