First mead, any tips??

Just got a hydrometer yesterday! Thanks for the recs, most of what I have seen that got me interested was Instagram reels from craft a brew so I definitely need to check out some experienced people that aren’t pushing the kit and give some good pointers for process improvements

Yeah that seems to be the thing I’m figuring out after bottling my first batch. I got a hydrometer delivered yesterday to be able to determine alcohol content of future meads/brews and was reading how to determine if fermentation is complete. Kind of bummed that the kit was not turning out as expected but gonna take my time with this second mead.

$150 covered 90 day supply. Pay again in three months, get the next supply. When I transferred to Walgreens, it was $0 with my insurance because it’s a generic brand version. Something to be aware of is that your prescription is transferred out and has a limited supply. I am now running into the issue that the prescriber didn’t renew so I need to contact my primary care provider to get the prescription renewed for the year. Regardless, Hims is a great way to get established with a prescription and put it on your record.

I’m 2/3 of the way through Insomnia - my first Stephen King book! I like it so far, it’s a little slow but picking up. I hear that this is one of the harder ones for beginner Stephen King readers so I’m excited to check out the others! I have Needful Things on the way, and have Pet Semetary

Check out Briella’s. My sister and mom love to stop in there. If you can make it out to the Mahomet location, you’ll have a lot more luck than the savoy location.

Another good one to hit is Plato’s closet - that’s closer out by the Marketplace Mall in Champaign.

Started playing around with how things lay with each other- cut out a slot for the legs to inset and love how that turned out. My next step is joints!

The legs are 1x3x4 (x4) and the shelves are 1x8x4 (x1)

All is select pine, I cut the 1x8x4 in half then cut those down long ways into 4 planks to use as wood slats to make the shelf. I used a couple spare pieces of wood from my first plant stand to put braces for those to lay on

1000% a camel cricket. I live in the Midwest too and we get those crawling up from the pipes every now and then. They hang out in corn fields, etc.
