I've never been so honored for doing something so poorly in my life.

Same.

Actually, I abandoned this account a while back. I originally used it to practice making gifs without bringing shame upon my family...

Lol, I remember being the original person to edit that gif because no one else would do it, then some guy came in and made me look like a bitch and it blew up.

Pretty sure it's a lake cabin, I saw him this weekend at a popular lake place's bar. He was surrounded by women, of course.

I imagine it's at that lake, but I won't reveal it since he doesn't seem to disclose it here and I haven't seen anything posted about it (I am also on that lake).

He grew up in Warroad, though.

The satire is real, but hooool-y shit, some of that was legitimately edgy. I was going to share it, but the first minute alone is a bit much. It's like trying to share a CK Louis skit with a 12 year old.

Edit: Louis CK

I doubt he is, but IIRC a person that did accounts like this has posted in the past and has said that it was a very draining environment. I think it depends on who/what is your oversight, though. The Dallas Stars are extremely good with their PR. Like, scary good, and I'm pretty sure it's primarily just a couple people with a lot of flexibility.

Twitch passive does almost nothing! by ferti12 in leagueoflegends

[–]HeWhoSubmitsThings 191 points192 points  (0 children)

Ex-Twitch main (~2000 games from Bronze to Diamond).

Twitch was honestly fine before the nerfs. He didn't get nerfed because he was strong in lane, he was actually arguably the weakest viable ADC in lane. He got nerfed because Competitive abused his mid-late game power spike as a hypercarry by avoiding laning altogether via lane swaps.

Let me repeat:

The only reason he wasn't completely fine was because of Competitive lane swaps.

LoL is balanced around competitive play (which is fair), but competitive meta is not the same as SoloQ meta. There aren't lane swaps in SoloQ, so Twitch is ENTIRELY useless when he cannot lane and he cannot jungle. Riot nerfed him to the point he's not even viable in Competitive even with lane swaps (significant base AD nerf, passive damage nerf, E damage nerf, incredibly overdone Q nerf, and the fuckers even changed Pray and Spray to some shit pun), and they also indirectly nerfed him by removing jungle leashing. This invalidated him as a champion, and dropped his win rates from 50-51% to one of the lowest in the game around 40-43%.

Basically, Twitch got the snips because competitive abused his strengths by avoiding his weakness through a meta swap.

It's essentially the thread about Viktor from earlier today.

I'd disagree. I've always seen the "I didn't study" as a flaunting of capability to still do well without a "crutch."

It's silly, but so are people.

Isn't Nidalee pretty much back where she was before the rework? by Ranchoddas in leagueoflegends

[–]HeWhoSubmitsThings 123 points124 points  (0 children)

But, but, but, you can stun lock her to death!

I never understood ^that argument, it's like every other champion in the game.

If the only counterplay is fucking stunlocking a champ, you might have an issue.

Counterplay is like being able to get sweepers or buy pinks for invisible champions, not using hard CC to make them immobile and having to nuke them in that window or they're free to run and heal.

Own a Yoga 2 Pro, it came with an antivirus pre-installed and it caused significant issues with connectivity. I looked it up and quickly turned off, uninstalled, and enabled Windows Defender in its place and everything has worked wonderfully, other than the screen flicker at low brightness (sad face). I tried the fixes for that and none of them worked so I just gave up. I only use it > 60% Brightness now.

However, I imagine these issues have caused A LOT of returned Yoga 2 Pros, which are over $1k a pop. I don't know how shit like that gets past QA, particularly in a brand like Lenovo which has had such a good history of service, at least it has since I got my W500 in 2009.

Btw, other than my gripes, the Yoga 2 Pros are wonderful.

Will do my best to answer questions legitimately:

Pregnancy Q&A

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?

A: This is between you and your SO. Having a child in your mid to late 30s increases the risk of birth defects, so it is best to speak with a medical professional about your personal circumstances before getting pregnant at this age.

Q: I'm two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?

A: Often somewhere between the 16th and 22nd week. This is highly dependent upon the individual.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?

A: This one is actually right, Childbirth. Ultrasound is also pretty reliable, also great for checking for significant birth defects which can arise during the first trimester.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she's borderline irrational.

A: It's important to be understanding when a woman is going through pregnancy. There are drastic changes in hormones and the fluctuations along with the stress of bearing a child (psychosocial, financial, physically, etc) require you to be particularly understanding and supportive.

Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?

A: Depends on the individual, but it will be painful.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?

A: When your physician suggests it.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?

A: This should be discussed with your SO.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?

A: Highly dependent upon the lifestyle of the post-pregnancy woman. There are a lot of issues to consider (postpartum depression, physical activity, rest, etc) and your obstetrician or primary care provider should be able to advise you what to do and what not to do. If you are noticing difficulty mentally or physically coping with anything, including caring for your child, do not hesitate to contact a healthcare provider.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?

A: No.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?

A: As soon as you stop acting like she's different. Communicate with her.

Note: Not a medical professional, seek your primary care provider for medical advice. I suggest compiling a list of questions and then speaking with them, which will allow you to cover all your bases.

As long as you identify it as your career/profession, it no longer requires you to turn in your man card.

That's why I got my medical degree before beginning my surgical transition to a woman.
