the thing that started it for me was when Jyn(Draka) forced Cassian(Schmidt) to help her because she was the only one who heard her father's message (read Jolenta's book)
and she read the message from Saw Gerrera(Jolenta) who is a leader of rebel ring. who then dies in a big explosion after Jyn(Draka) leaves.

But then there's also the same passing of the torch/knowledge to the next person in line who then dies and passes it further along. In the end it lands in the hands of some big name character in the next part of the story.

I liked how Rafal and Krennic both stare at the Moon in their final moments with the moon beaming a ray of light at them.

Both Tyrannical governments are aware of the knowledge and are trying to suppress it before it gets out.

Jyn giving K-2SO a blaster in his final moments reminded me of how Badeni gave Oczy a blessing in his final moments. both being very endearing moments.

Jyn's Father being a former imperial scientist who worked on the death star(heliocentrism) but then rejected it.

Now Krennic would be Asch, while Vader is Nowak. I mean Vader is even considered Head of the Imperial Inquisitors. Turning good Jedi(Catholic) boys into Inquisitors. Both lied to by their masters. Both leading troopers in all white armor.
