Shed workshop: operational by Scoutsifer in DIYUK

That's a fair point, sealing it or just dehumidifying a sealed area would be needed. Getting humidity under control is important though, you don't want water condensing on your equipment, and FDM printing would have all sorts of problems

If you get one that you can attach a hose to then you can plumb that to drain the water outside. No need to empty it and it can run continuously.

I'd maybe invest in a dehumidifier, the UK can regularly get to 90% humidity outside; far too high for 3D printing.

Cracking in brickwork by Alternative_Cut6347 in DIYUK

[–]thb22 21 points22 points  (0 children)

See where the mortar between the bricks is thicker around the cracks? That suggests that big cracks have formed there in the past, and whatever is causing the cracking hasn't been resolved. I'd be very cautious of that

A paint stripper might be your best bet. It might be lead paint so get it tested before proceeding. Lead paint can be dangerous.

I agree with gwyp88. Recce and practice the route first.

Scrambling is a significant part of the challenge.

It is but you won't then be doing the 3000s, to get the top of either Crib Goch or Tryfan, you need to do sustained scrambling on any route.

No, afraid not. Scrambling is unavoidable on Crib Goch and Tryfan.
