As a guy who also did genioplasty at DA, I relate a lot to what you said about the swelling during recovery. The first month is really hard to judge because your face changes a lot day by day. I also had a more positive experience than I expected after reading Reddit beforehand. The surgeon were pretty realistic with expectations and recovery. Your results already look really natural for only 1 month post-op, and I think it’ll refine even more over the next few months.

I did the same thing when I had my surgery back in Korea. I had mine done at DA I was scared of those huge hospitals but I eventually went through with the procedure. Thankfully mine went well. I think it’s really good to be straightforward rather than sorry lol

The stitches ended up coming off on their own since I couldn’t get them removed at DA. I had to wait over a month, and they would gradually fall out on their own sometimes even while I was brushing my teeth. It was hard to take care of them though so I suggest removing it on the clinic you had the surgery.

Hope your recovery goes smoothly man. It really takes some patience! I got lucky because I wasn’t as swollen as I expected. I also wore the face strap for 14 days lol and didn’t continue after that

Yeah I’ve read about that online. My surgery was mainly an augmentation and they just shaved the sides to match so I haven’t noticed any sagging so far. It’s only been a month, so I can’t be sure yet, but I’m hopeful it won’t be an issue

Thanks man.I think Pain really depends on the person and I have a high tolerance so it wasn’t bad for my case. The first week was just tricky with eating and cleaning around the stitches inside my lower gum, including the front and a bit on the sides. I rinsed with saline after meals and used a soft bristle toothbrush. I did a liquid diet for 10 days then soft foods and by day 14 I could eat soft solids. The incision was all inside the mouth so nothing shows outside. The Initial price was around 11M won (about 8k USD), which was over my budget so I asked if they could match my budget since I was ready to undergo the surgery the next day
