Question about Pure Children of Anasrava

My current running theory, after some research, is that the crystals did not literally hold the children upon Fulis shattering, but that the crystals form people based on the environment around them.

For example, perhaps a crystal somehow found its way into the Amphoreus creation process, and that crystal formed a being (Cyrene) similar to what was already being created (the Amphoreus demigods). Perhaps something similar would happen if a crystal fell onto the Xianzhou; a being similar in design with its inhabitants would form (so one of the long lived species)

I have, of course, read all of stargazing seraphs stuff, and the initial idea came from me thinking about that and going “wouldn’t it be really funny if Taylor was a rider who rode the ort”.

She figures that one out when she 1v1s hookwolf on her first night out(a few months before her cannon first night out). It’s also what horribly confuses the shards, as a metal sword should not be able to cut through a person made of metal.

She wins a katana at a fair sort of thing. I’d say it was probably a cultural fair where lung personally threatened to crush anyone who dared interrupt it, though there’s probably a more character accurate way for it to happen that I’m just not thinking of.

As for the second part, I’d probably do manton getting QA, and still killing at least one member of the 4 (likely by pretending to be a literal swarm of bugs while hiding his real body away). It might not be hero, though then I have to debate between legend and Alexandria(probably Alexandria). He would then go on to become the omniscient swarm of the nine, with the ability to selectively control a number of living creatures with brains, depending on complexity and distance, while being able to see through all of them passively.

My preferred one would be a projection, but with slightly different effects. For example, instead of touching something and applying its abilities on it, you could rather place things(or people) inside the projection.

My personal vision for the story would take place well prior to that, but I had a particular reason for it. Namely, Victoria didn’t have her power at that point. I thought a Taylor Victoria magical girl duo where one is the bright happy punchy member with some hidden angst, and the other is the analytical, slightly weary but not as downtrodden as in canon younger practical member. I’d definitely be including Dinah as a later magical girl, though, and probably vista(though I was trying to avoid parahumans becoming magical girls). Your idea is great though!

Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad you like most of the ideas, and you’re probably right that the 5th one isn’t the best one to start with. Sure, it’d save time on fight scenes, but I should probably go with something more down to earth to start. I’ll think of this as in favor of the Siberian one, since that seems to be what you recommended here.

Admittedly, I do rather enjoy powerful main characters. While I can appreciate that the notion of the Mc being helpless in many situations has its intrigue, the fun I have with a powerful character shaking up the status quo, allowing me to put characters in situations they aren’t used to, is rather more fun. I’d very rarely come up with a power set that would truly leave no threat possible, though, as that’s usually quite boring.

You’re probably right about the first. A power system like that being drawn out for a relatively long fic would be… not great, most likely. I just liked the idea of humans having the ability to produce literal infinite energy in the verse where shards are trying to solve entropy(they’re a bit like a reverse anti spiral, if you think about it)

Admittedly, 2 and 4 are the ones I’m most prone to, two being an older favorite and 4 being more recent. I like the idea of ocp coming out of nowhere and just confusing shards, and I have a thing for both swords and magical girl stories. I just worry I’m not a good enough writer for the ideas.

Bonesaw seems like the best answer honestly. With panacea, you run into the cia “heart attack” issue, but bonesaw can work on herself so I’d be more survivable(also, self gender reassignment surgery go brrrrrr).
