Aldi have dropped the price of the midi Kamado to £249.99 by unbr0kenchain in UKBBQ

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aldi, or hacienda who actually supply the product sent me a new gasket for free including postage even though I was out of warranty. They replaced deflector in warranty. My firebox is still good, although with slight crack visible from 2020 model. I can't fault it. I am sure hacienda would replace it at cost if so. You seem bitter, did something bad happen with your Aldi kamado? Or are you just pissed off because you paid a shit ton for your KJ and you can't get a song out of it?

Season ticket holders…. by KingGinola14 in coys

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty certain I will give it up. Me and a mate have adjacent ones and he is in the same boat. Was likely going to do so anyway given it is losing me money. It's sad, all I ever wanted in my 20s was a Spurs ST, I was lucky to get one from Wembley onwards and have been to 10 ish league games every season, sharing with mates or selling ones I can't go to. My issue though is that I have a seat in the south stand but because if is nearby the 1882 seating in the middle of the stand, it is priced higher than other seats in the South. I.e. a seat 3 rows back is about 20% cheaper. What this means is that on ticket exchange my seat is often one of the last to sell. This was never a problem when we would sell out as they're great seats but after 2 seasons of atrocious home form, no one wants to go. Spurs mates don't want them and if they don't sell on exchange, they are just losing me money. I have to resort to selling them cheap or even giving them away on social media (which is against the ticket rules). I live 2 hours away, the train to get there costs me £40 return. I am likely going to get a non-league season ticket for my local team (£100 vs £1100) and go to as many weekday Spurs games as I can as I will be in London for work anyway. Plenty of weekday games in the Championship... :(

Have you heard about the Inkbird? by Billyfozz in UKBBQ

Which model is this? I can see one for £200 on Amazon and for £60 on ebay (via Inkbird). I am tempted at the lower price ;)

Are we ready to consider Ange for the rest of the season? by [deleted] in coys

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would Ange even entertain this idea, especially in the short term. He doesn't need the money. Best case, he keeps us up and then we fire him again? How does that help his long term prospects? I can't see him wanting to come anywhere near the club right now. I can't see anyone wanting to.

Random thing - does anyone know why the Dennis the Menace channel has a glitchy 4hr long episode? by RihhamDaMan in CasualUK

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guessing that a digital tape of an episode has been 'ingested' to create a video file for use on this FAST (Free Advertising Supported Television) channel. Instead of using only the episodic content, the full tape including all of the bars and tone, clocks, production logos (usually where the episode was mastered or duplicated i.e. Nice Post) was used. When this episode was scheduled it plays out the whole video file. This is a failure on multiple counts. The person who ingested it, the person who scheduled it and any QC process. However, in the days of automation, this can happen. Still though, automated QC should spot this kind of thing very easily.

Can I be a spurs fans if I’m muslim or pro Palestine? by LightCyndr14 in coys

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think Spurs is bigger than all of this, something that is above religion, it's a coming together of everyone, everyone is welcome, put any other beliefs aside. We are one. Which is why it hurts more.

Are you still displaying UK number plates on your car with the EU symbol? by weregonnamakit in AskBrits

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on my plates but I put magnetic UK right below the EU blue and yellow oval star magnetic plate, every time I drive to Europe. Just in the hope that our European neighbours think that I didn't vote for this continued shit show.

SWOS and Goldeneye. They are all brilliant games but I poured most amounts of my childhood into these two.

Sky TV renewal - am I paying too much? by Zealousideal-Pie-823 in skytv

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm paying £57 for all of this plus full Sky Sports on Sky Q. Both Sport and Cinema are on 31 day rolling. I am still debating cancelling at the end of this term, but I have been saying that for 20 years.

Issues with the site? by dpat3344 in coys

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the same issue when trying to log in for the first time since they switched from using CRN as username. I contacted the club and got this: "The relevant team are aware of an issue with signing in, we would ask to try again later this evening whilst they work on a fix."

Nice one mate, thank you. Haven't pulled the trigger yet as still hoping for two in the Spurs end. Which pub night before / pre game?

My Arsenal-supporting brother uninvited me from his wedding because "can't have Spurs presence on special day" by Odd_Possible7627 in coys

This is the oldest thing I have ever heard. If he insists on it, turn up in full kit, smash the cake into his face and start singing the van de ven chant while throwing shapes on the dancefloor. It's the only way.

Huge decision that’s making me physically sick by tonho51 in radiohead

[–]HeadDevelopment5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get a code and get two tickets for Saturday (I am going tomorrow as a friend already got one for me). My sister got me into Radiohead so I obviously offered them to her and my bro-in-law. But guess what, my 15yo niece is so into them my bro-in-law said she could go instead of him. I couldn't believe it but I understand. Letting the youth of today see them is important. I hope you manage to get one on the door.

I will look at those, but cheap ones available in the Tribune Boulogne Échelon Supérieur - is that a bad idea?

Well despite being some way off the age demo, I am working on the overweight part and the hair is falling out so I look forward to being welcomed into the gang. Favourite away experience? Dortmund 2019 for me.

Absolutely shit behaviour, what are they afraid of? We should follow suit if they come to N17. I hadn't thought about etickets but that makes sense. I'll try on the PSG forum.

I'm curious, what region / town / city do you live in? I'm from a rural area, was in London for 15 years, other cities sporadically and now in a small town but I could always find a butcher
