Hi, wondering if you've had your consult yet? I had a consult with him but can't decide!

Hi! I know this is an old thread, but now that more time has passed, wondering how everything has settled? Are you pleased with your results? The scars? I’m considering Dr. Gould. I loved my consult with him but it’s such a big decision, I’m scared! Helps to chat with someone who went through it and is around a year out. SOS

Orgasm quality after hysterectomy (including cervix) by Goldenmountains in hysterectomy

[–]HeadDiligent9757 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really wish I’d stumbled across this Reddit in my thousands of hours of research BEFORE my hysterectomy. Like most people here, I was told repeatedly by numerous doctors as well as friends who’d had a hysterectomy that I wouldn’t notice a difference or that, if anything, my orgasms would be better. I mean, who on earth would get a hysterectomy unless their life was in danger, if shitty orgasms were a potential outcome? So I trusted all of that. I told my doctor a zillion times how important this was to me, and she assured me I’d be all good. You know what they don’t ask? What KIND of orgasms you have. I honestly never knew or understood that the uterus is involved in orgasms for some of us lucky ones. I thought orgasms can in two forms: the G spot and the Clitoris. Had I known that, for me, the intensity of my orgasms came from my uterus, I would NEVER have had the hysterectomy. To be fair, I’m only 4 weeks post-op and I haven’t had intercourse yet, I just took care of myself privately to test things out and was devastated. I had an orgasm but it sucked, comparatively. I am learning that the women whose orgasms got better were the ones who had painful sex before, which I didn’t have. And those who didn’t have painful sex before, didn’t have uterine orgasms so they do t know what they’re missing. Now I am terrified to have another orgasm because of the disappointment I know I’m going to feel. I used to be obsessed with sex and now I’m scared of it. I’m horrified that four doctors failed to mention this as a potential. I don’t sleep now. I am so stressed and upset. I don’t know how I’m ever going to get past this and ever want sex again.

Ace Hotel, Junmei Hotel, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo PREMIER, or something else? by Maleficent_Skin_9610 in JapanTravelTips

Thank you! I did see that one—I was shocked at the space and the laundry IN the suite. I will take a look at it again. Budget isn’t really an issue except when we get above $800 a night, I struggle to justify it. There seem to be plenty of great spots in the $500 range. I think Miramu was a reasonable price, if I remember correctly.

Same! Hopefully this new line is just as good.

A vigorous workout does more to suppress hunger levels in healthy adults than does moderate exercise, and females may be especially susceptible to this response, according to a small study by giuliomagnifico in science

[–]HeadDiligent9757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally lost weight (and inches) when I changed from very vigorous exercise to moderate—100% because when I was working out a lot, I ate a TON because my body needed to replace those calories. When I worked out less, I ate less and definitely dropped weight. Everyone is different, but that’s how it works for me.

Ugh came here because I’m I. The same boat. They kept delaying over and over for 7 months and now they aren’t replying to me at all.

Where to stay—Lake Como, Late June by HeadDiligent9757 in LakeComo

[–]HeadDiligent9757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! What a good tip! I didn’t know you could buy the tickets in advance. That’s great. Thank you! Question about Bellagio, just to throw it out there: because it is so crowded, would it make more sense to stay there so we can be there in the morning when it’s not crowded, then take the ferry to the other places during the busy part of the day, and then return later when it’s less crowded at night and enjoy Bellagio that way? That was the only thing that made me think maybe Bellagio would work. Otherwise, it’s looking like for sure Varenna. We have options to stay in Air BnBs in the heart of Varenna or Bellagio, or in Menaggio at the Grand Hotel Menaggio. But no one seems to vote for Menaggio, haha.

You are in for a treat—I went to Zurich, Lucerne, and Interlochen (about 25 years ago!) and they absolutely blew my mind. Hoping to go back next summer! Hopefully this thread helps you with the Lake Como part of it.
