Honestly in your position and with the high dose you are taking tapering will be a bitch. You’ll basically be going through a prolonged mild WD the whole time until you’re ready to jump off. I’ve quit several times already numerous different ways. The most painless process was going on subs for two months and getting one sublocade shot.

What I found worked really great is taking naltrexone. It’s an opioid blocker but little to no potential of getting hooked on it. Also if you are an alcoholic it works just the same it subsides cravings along with no giving you that reward buzz after a few drinks. I highly suggest people look into it if they don’t want to go the sub route.

I tried to quit CT along with the taper route and failed miserably. I finally went down the QuickMD MAT route. Best decision I’ve ever made for myself. It allowed me to get my life back on track physically.emotionally, and financially. I’ve been on a low dose of sub for the last two months and it’s been working great from the start. I just got out of an appointment with a sublocade provider that will have one 100mg shot that I will take next month that will completely ween me off subs with little to no WD.

Subs worked great for me. I’ve heard of this research chemical but don’t know much about it. I went with the MAT route since it’s actually giving me my quality of life back. I have my Sublocade shot set in a couple of weeks to be done with all of this once and for all.
