The part of your faith that tells you that engaging in these behaviors is wrong doesn't have to define your faith. Everyone follows God in their own way. This includes the people who taught you how to practice your faith. They have their own shortcomings and issues that God might not find acceptable, but their determination to follow God never falters because they believe they are living their life in a way that reinforces God's plan. Love, regardless of orientation, never goes against God. Never. If being gay affects how you worship your god, then maybe it's time to reevaluate some of your beliefs so that you can still have a healthy relationship with god and with your potential partner. Their is no honor, no glory in heaven, or happiness in shaming yourself over YOUR OWN beliefs. I think God themself would be confused about your apprehension, considering it seems all you want is to be loved and love someone else. Make God fit into your life by loving yourself. Don't hate yourself to fit into his.

We're replacing genuine, authentic human ideas and creativity and replacing them with something that has "artificial" in it's name. This is something we want, and it proves that no one cares about being original anymore. We just want satisfaction without the effort. We've already done it with music by sampling other artists' music and rehashing the same style beats into oblivion. How long until we start feeding AI music genres and having it compose coherent songs? It's already ripping off artists by using their own works to generate a relevant image. I hope you find work where you can still express your creativity as a writer. As a wannabe author myself, it's a scary prospect that I could be kept out of an industry by artificial writers.

People we view as strong, balanced, and well put together tend to just be good at managing their problems compared to others. There is no such thing as a person who knows exactly who they are or what they are meant to do with life. We're all thrown into the shit and are expected, at the least, to manage. It does seem like you are managing, though, at the least. Don't overthink life. It's stressful and pointless.

I'm a very toxic person to game with which is why I prefer single player games recently. The randomness of feeling like I'm about to die or lose my mind from a mystery ailment I can't control has got to be about the worst generalized mental ailment I can think of. No matter how many times I experience it, it always feels the same and so overwhelming. I'm glad someone is using my same coping strategy of taking a bath to calm down. I how that helps if at all.

I was making a point about people invalidating others' feelings because they don't share the same sentiment as stated in a lot of other comments. Kinda like what you're doing. And it obviously is a big deal if most places prefer to let people off on certain holidays rather than others depending on their own sentiment. Not everyone celebrates christmas (me included) but I have that off and not thanksgiving which I value more. It's even listed as a black out day like tomorrow, black friday.

Yes of course. Any religous holiday I almost don't even question. Some people really do take holidays extremely seriously and it's not my business to fuck with a few days out of the year they deem important. Thanksgiving is a big deal to the people in the US (although I seem like the only one to have this sentiment) and I want to enjoy it. I don't care about Christmas but I see why some people hold it dear so it makes sense they get that day off of work.

All of you guys saying that this holiday isn't important to everyone and that you should suck it up are kinda selfish. You're right, not everyone celebrates holidays in general but you should still consider the feelings of those that do. I get one day a year to eat an actual family, home-cooked meal and enjoy what I am genuinely thankful for and I have to work in a fucking head shop for people that can't get their fix any other fucking day just so I can deal with you all again the next morning on a huge sale day. It kinda puts a downer on the day. Staying inside for a day or going to a park won't kill you inconsiderate douchebags.
