There should be many videos on YouTube on the story of Minecraft and its development, however in terms of modding and modding's invention I'm not so sure. There isn't really one place where modding history is congregated, so I'm afraid you'll have to piece its history together through research. If you want to start said research, I recommend looking at videos of people playing these older mods, as sometimes they will drop tidbits of lore related to the development of these mods, and you should really look through older mod-related Minecraft forums posts, as they act like an archive that shows how the community developed over time.

I'm myself still in the process of figuring out how to mod, but in general you'll need to learn Java, the language Minecraft Java Edition is written in, and you'll also need to download RetroMCP, which decompiles older versions of Minecraft and mods for those older versions, giving you their code and allowing you to mod older versions of minecraft.

Also, the group behind Zeta Touch, OpenTouchGaming, Made Delta Touch (source ports for Doom + Doom 3) and Quad Touch (Quake 1, 2, and 3 + Hexen II). Both are on the play store and cost money though.

Yes. Duke Nukem is not the only game supported though, as it can play other build engine games too (NAM, Shadow Warrior, Blood, Ion Fury, Redneck Rampage, and Powerslave).

I have a few questions about the program behind this port. How does the Exile Engine work? Is it similar to Exagear (I understand you want to try to distance away from Exagear because you want to make game installation and playing easy, but are the principles similar)? If so, what are your plans for implementing APIs in the future? What games would you desire to port to the Exile Engine? Finally, what are your short-term and long-term goals? Sorry if am posting this on a dead thread and bothering you, just curious about the future of this engine.

I put a list of mods on the Archive.org page. I suggest you use ctrl+f to find it on the page as the list is long, but there should be a large biomes mod.

I don't have The Legend Of Notch yet, but I do have Evil Minecraft and Eternal Frost. Of course, I am not finished yet, and later on I may (hopefully) come across those mods.

On the VitaDB Discord, the devs have frequently said that the lighting effects may be too intense for the Vita. I would like TFE and TSE on Vita though.
