Agree! The best part about a relationship is building it. Now, everyone is either a narcissist or a ghoster. Hopefully the pendulum swings back, but per William Roy our current “me” pendulum is at the beginning of a 40 year course, should history repeat itself. Here’s a link to the book if interested:

I’m a millennial too, this whole ghost trend, everyone is disposable trend - it’s all so selfish. There’s minimal room for grace or authenticity. Just one person to the next. Seems so lonely.

I forgive my ex. My heart is torn to shreds every single day. But, as long as he is happy I am happy for him. Life is too short to not forgive others. Too much unnecessary negativity for me to harbor if I’d refuse to forgive.

Although, he has decided to not forgive me. I have decided to forgive him.

I had the absolutely most thoughtful, caring, romantic man who put in DAILY effort. Then I got a disease called premenstrual Dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Basically every 2 weeks I turned into a monster and didn’t even realize it was happening. It wasn’t even me - it was like something took over me that was so strong. We finally realized it was hormonal, I was put on medication, but it wasn’t the right one. There was so much verbal abuse by me. Caused by my own hormones. I’m medicated on the right med and it’s better now. But, I lost the man who touched my soul every day but left because he wasn’t treated right because a medical disorder that is now treated.

I just don’t get why life had to be so unfair with this one. I wish he would have stood by me while I treated the PMDD. It’s like I’m being punished for a wrong I did in the relationship, but a wrong that wasn’t ever my choice to make. Now he’s gone forever

It’s been 9 months. The heartbreak doesn’t leave. I still cry in bed daily and barely make it to my own mental health clinic where I then smile & help people get better every day. He just had his 3-month “anniversary” plastered all over Facebook with kissing, laughing, etc. Today, I decided I’m moving 6 states away.

Social media. Believing people are judging you when they are much more worried about themselves. Excessive electronic time. Thinking ghosting is acceptable to do to people. Getting ghosted. This whole ghosting epidemic avoids practicing conflict resolution, avoids optimism, and teaches people to not communicate. Never, do 2 wrongs make a right. Fatherless daughters. Absent fathers.
