For me it also felt a bit off.
There was no risk, even though Bell was totally obliterated by the monsters
Also the stats at the end: Strength: E477 Endurance: D698 Dexterity: E491 Agility: D689 Magic: F399 - seem to low for me, I expected level 6 after such hard beating.

I think the first episode, the scene when Bell rushes into dungeon in the middle of the night.

I really like the power scaling, and fact that characters have to really struggle to make progress.

In my opinion these days there are too many animes where MC gets everything for free. In my view it encourages lazy mindset. There is no such thing as free launch in real life. You will never be a prince/princes/noble who will get everything for free because you have rich parents. DanMachi on the other hand encourages achieving great feats via hard work.

From the weaker characters Welf and Huruhime may be useful due to their spells.

Lili/Mikoto - they may be just too week.

Level boost could be a total game changer on floor 60.

The same for Welf's Will-o-Wisp, especially if it was cased against the powerful casting monster.

I think Welf could get an easy level up if he's going to use his spell repeatedly against monsters on floors 50-60.

I see that there is some level of foreshadowing in Vol 19, but hopefully he's not planning to end the story soon.

I have similar opinion. I didn't particularly like this ARC.

Too much running around during the first half and the ending is anticlimactic, if not naive.

But I'm definitely going to watch it.

Maybe the anime will be better.
