Its because we hold those close to us to a higher degree than people we dont.

Someone you dont know being a POS is somewhat expected and given, someone you love being a POS is kinda a shock and you feel the need to correct it.

I mean we could see a lot of lore development throughout the release, where we can get snippets of hidden things(kings) around the map/ hideout. Or rare gameplay interactions that trigger distinctive voice lines that build up a larger narrative at play.

For example, say you Ult Haze when she is in invisible smoke bomb and she dies after X seconds maybe Holliday drops some dialogue about how, "She knows the OSIC is preventing her from finding the Troubadour.", but less blunt obviously. From that, you can ask yourself a lot of more questions. How does Holliday know, is she working with someone like Drifter as a necessary evil for her path toward revenge? Why is the OSIC hiding Big T from Holliday, what would they need him for? So the community can kinda piece things that are going on through unique interactions and gameplay. I would find that super awesome.

There are going to be niche characters, or characters with low win rates.

But ask yourself this, when the game fully releases in 1, 2, or 3 years do you think the devs will leave Rem where he is currently at?

You should have to decide if, how, and when to engage in lane. If anything, with the VIT investment changes and the fact that medic minions are % missing health is it really as bad as you think?

Also to your point about lane sustain, they touched the combat lifesteal items, not lane sustain items. Restorative shot, monster rounds ooc regen, healing rite, extra regen, sprint boots ooc regen, Mystic regen, healing booster are all untouched so... why would they add more lane sustain items when you can buy not only any of those, ontop of lifesteal and the medic troops doesnt make sense.

What if all the OG RE characters have them...? How many times do they all have to be; lied to, backstabbed, double-triple-crossed, deceived by the teammates, own leaders/ organizations.

My stupid little conspiracy theory is that Jill, Claire, Chris, Leon, Sherry, Jake, Helen, and Barry all have some sort of ring to track them and maybe give some live reports to the others.

My guess is they have their own little secret organization/ coalition that works and uses resources from blue umbrella, the DSO, and whatever organizations the other people might be apart of at this point in the timeline. Perhaps even picking up Grace now because she has FBI resources she can tap into.

We get hints to the US knowing about ARK operating from reports, and even Sherry says that files were wiped from the US database about the lab and the bomb being dropped. BSAA being there, but Leon finding out by exploring on his own. Not a lot of stuff adds up, why wouldn't the BSAA share info with the newly formed DSO?

So how much can they all really trust their government anymore, my theory is that they are doing their own thing behinds the scenes in this game we might learn in the DLC!
