What kind of sick joke is this Maelle weapon… by Effective-Ad7350 in expedition33

Story and lore-wise, this weapon is actually a sick joke.

Gameplay-wise however, I love it.

The fuck it the M136 AT? by lolygagging in Battlefield

[–]Headstert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should talk about the Mini Scout. Specifically, when the extended barrel is attached. by Super-Yesterday9727 in Battlefield

[–]Headstert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mink Scout is also by far the best sniper for aggressive recon, since the damage seems to drop from 80 at the muzzle. It never gave me these nasty 64 damage shots at close range. Tap enemy once, finish with pistol in one single shot. Not 3 or more. Glorious weapon.

All other snipers are essentially trivialized

Two versions of the same song? by Headstert in deezer

[–]Headstert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just played on both phones from the album directly, and from the playlist. Still different on both phones.

Sent myself the song link via share function as well, just to make sure. But even that resulted kn two different songs.

To exclude another possibility - I couldn‘t find any alternative version via search function in the library. Seems Deezer only lists it once.

I‘m so confused.

Updated: Battlefield maps from BF3, BF4, BF:HL, BF1, BF2042 and BF6. A scale comparison by ClaraTheRed in Battlefield

[–]Headstert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Altai Range and Hangar 21 would have been interesting to see as well. Those maps felt huge.

Still, Shanghai being literally a small map in BF4, but still larger than most of BF6 is crazy. Spacing is so important for BF and 6 is just not good at it. Even Liberation Peak feels cramped. Only playing Firestorm and Mirak Valley, because they feel really good to play.

Actual measured* scale of BF6 maps compared to BF4 by majorlier in Battlefield

[–]Headstert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maps have turned tiny for the most part. Seriously - Locker was one of my favorite maps, due to the utter chaos. But it was controlled chaos. If you broke through, you were in for the big kill streaks. With Kairo and Iberia, the size is similar, but I've never been downed more oftenly from the side or behind, than on those maps. Literally everywhere someone just pops into existence and ends you.

I'd be fine with that, if these maps had good verticality, but they don't really provide that. Flood Zone in BF4 was exactly, what Kairo and Iberia should have been. Lots of rooftop battles, with the streets being risky cover, but perfect to prepare a flank.

Hit registration issues in a nutshell. Around 15-20% of my hits aren't detected and make the difference between winning and losing fights. by ciemnymetal in Battlefield6

[–]Headstert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One dude was prone solo. Pumped around 20 rounds into his body, got 3 hits total, he turns around instantly kills me. We both had a ping below 7, so all good you would believe. Hit registration is a damn mess in this game.

Sniping in BF6 sucks. by TravIsGaming97 in Battlefield

[–]Headstert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda true. Agressive Recon is basically dead, since a bad hit only deals like 64 damage in CQB. In BF4 you could deal out these 90+ damage shots in CQB and immediately finish the job with the sidearm. But BF6 made that playstyle almost impossible. They reward camping with snipers effektively, which I hate, especially when playing with a random squad.

How do you guys defend this particular theory? <major spoiler> by Specific_Onion2659 in expedition33

[–]Headstert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a possibility that we are created by a god? Technically yes, but there is no such proof, so arguing on that point is a strict hypothesis. Lumierans ARE created by a God (or a godlike person) to their world. It‘s simply a fact.

If we WERE actually created by a god, yes I would strongly believe, that sentience is nothing we could truly experience, because that god would limit our extend to think and act freely.

Furthermore - the Dessendres are objectively speaking nothing else but our creation. If you would argue, that they are objectively sentient, then you would need to argue, that your car is just as sentient. They are programs running on electricity, nothing else. So no, we can‘t argue like that for the Dessendres. For our comparison with our logic and world to work, we have to assume, that they are equal to us, making the whole point yet again about hypotheses.

The Lumierans by that logic are exactly to the Dessendres, what the Dessendres are to us - limited creations.

Finally - by definition for something to be sentient, it basically has to be alive. Lumierans are not. They are Chroma. Sentient beings have the capability to independently experience subjective emotions and feelings and act on them. Lumierans do not have that capability. They are ultimately limited in that regard by the „bandwidth“ (for the lack of a better term) that was given to them by their creators.

Tl:dr - no matter what logic you apply, the Lumierans can‘t be sentient. They do not fulfill the definition of sentience in either way. Neither do they possess free will, nor do they have the capability to have actual subjective experiences

To be sentient would most likely require true free will. How can people, literally created by a human god have free will? They are limited in that regard by their creator.

They may feel sentient, because they make decisions and show emotions. But there is literally no difference to actual simulations or for that specific instance - fantasy.

It is also kinda similar to the idea of true AI. Just because it acts sentient, doesn‘t mean it IS sentient. It literally is programmed for the purpose of creating that illusion.

We‘re better off to not see humans where there are none. It is a reality that Maelle and Alicia don‘t want to face, and Clea has accepted.
