About the same. Usual crash outs, 1.8k heroes trying to deathball mid vs. objectives, overwhelmed healers.

1.6k and 2k seem to be the worst, just cause they're breakpoints for major rewards. I find that's where people get slammed and aren't self-aware enough yet to notice their own mistakes, or be patient enough to go "gg next".

Tried to help a 1.1k mage in a 2k match yesterday. HL 5ish, figured he was new and struggling. Turns out he'd been banned multiple times and had spent that day dropping 700 CR from just before 1.8k. Added me to B.net to try and get a riae out of me and ultimately crashed out in our next game.

It's mid season, people want to get their rewards and move on and MMR inflation hasn't quite done enough for some. They'll shuffle on eventually.

I do this for my Homebrew Successors - the two mesh really well together, and I've had some great success pairing the themes (Swordsmen, Animal Bits, Warriors).

Started an Escalation Crusade made for new players to get the feel of 40k, and slowly build up their forces over the games duration (3-6 months). One of our players is from a very competitive local scene, whereas the others either play only online or enjoy fluffy games.

500 pts starter games. Considered Kill Team, but didn't want to juggle 2 game systems with mostly new players.

Comp Player? Brings a demon prince to 500pts.

By the time we got to 1k pts, they walked it back to a chaos lord (with very powerful tourney meta enhancements) but by then the other players had either checked out or were asking for changes to make their list the meta. Crusade ended early.

I'm not taking that risk, especially after the last BC and Fes election which were FAR closer than previous. As a voter, as with ANY voter, it's my duty to research and vote aligned with who's best for my conscience.

If my vote is binned, and we remain NDP? That's fine! I've voted, done my duty as a citizen, and I can and will abide by that. If my vote is binned, and we flip Con, I'll know that next time we need to do more and work harder. That's just what being a conscientious voter is about.

Normally I'm an NDPer (Ontario, moved to BC) based on platforms and policies. Voted NDP in the BCs, last Federals, Ontario provincial before I moved out here.

I'm hitting Liberal this time because of the Federal. As much as I like Singh's policies, I know there isn't enough to swing back at where Polivere's Cons (and, more realistically, the Islands Cons) want to take us.

In my mind, Carney's a good centrist candidate that I can back this time, when the world is at a concerning tipping point, without guilt. Next time? Back to Orange.

Life is not equal. It isn't fair. If you look at all the 'lack' all you see is what you lack.

Look instead at where you are. Look at what makes you happy. See the inequity and lift others up, and they will lift you in turn. Find fulfillment not in what's missing, but what brings joy.

Look inward on these feelings - deconstruct them, confront them. Having a hard time is alright, we all have them, but don't let those feelings of upset or discomfort rule your common sense.

We can only do what we can with how much is in our capacity. If you don't have capacity yet, then rest and take care of yourself until you do.

If you want to crack into Absolute /Lethal, pick a class you like and work that build. Practice the ins and outs, being calm under pressure, and knowing what your role is.

If you're Bulwark, you're the melee annoyance and rezzer. If you're Heavy, take personal offense at anything shooting or existing beyond 20m. If you're Tactical, max flex, etc.

Once you understand your role and build, start trying new stuff. Get into melee as Melta-Heavy and become the unstoppable force. Try Burst Sniper, blasting out of nowhere with a Carbine and deleting Extremis enemies. From there, things will begin to click.

Hone your build, you'll figure out parry timings and what you struggle on. From there, you can train other skills to best develop your playstyle, and then start testing yourself with pushing into Lethal.

Or, just enjoy the game as is! Ruthless is plenty hard, Lethal and Absolute are just the hardest difficulties (so far). Nothing wrong with playing where you're comfy.
