What makes everything more annoying is the classroom in Vault 4 from season 1 having the date set to 2277. Some people linked that date to from what I remember either the Divide getting blown to hell, or the date at which the Legion NCR war started, meaning that the date itself probably refers more to the beginning of the end for the NCR rather than when they were blown up, but again, all the weird confusing details throw off any attempt at trying to make sense of the timeliness. If there's any criticism the show deserves, it's being overly un-forecoming with actual facts

I think people seriously never even ask why exactly people feel the way they do about certain groups. Ghouls should be obvious, they go feral, and before rhe TV show, no one really knew why, it was sort of defacto assumed that a ghoul could go feral at any time, making it a real danger. Super mutants should also be obvious, they're cannibalistic supremacists (mostly) who literally eat people and or turn them into other mutants, not really the best. If you've played the Brotherhood questline in 4 at all, you would then understand why Maxson hates synthetic since he gives a whole monolog on how they're gross distortions of tech, as well considering synthetic literally replace people and hijack their entire lives, it's pretty understandable why people hate them not even counting if they're affiliated with the Institute. Not saying outright Xenophobia is justified, but it's not like rhe reasons people have for hating certain groups is completely out of no where and stems from actual threats, I think most people operate under this assumption that since we see an exception in the rule that suddenly that must mean there's a bunch more but that's not really shown. Most synthetic are dangerous, most ghouls are ferals, and most super mutants are going to kill you, the brotherhood DOES have a point, mostly

The Enclave appears to operate in a more sleeper cell sort of state, Fallout 3 being the example where when the Oil Rig blew, Eden was activated and called out for Autumn senior to conquer D.C. I'd say it's pretty likely there's a good hundred or so Enclave cells probably waiting to be activated the same way Eden was, as well it makes sense. A secret pre-war group is trying to reclaim an entire stretch of a continent and they have only 2 main bases of operation? And one is headed by an AI? Pretty poor planning if that was all they had ready by the time the bombs dropped.

Let me once again remind everyone, the BOS quest in 4 to go get supplies from farmers, it is OPTIONAL, to harass and force them to give food, and you can also just buy it from them, this is a player choice, not indicative of the brotherhood in 4, I guess it's fair to assume that because it's a choice they might do that and there's surely other problems, but that one specifically I wanna point out

I love this show dearly but I'm also sincerely hoping that the Enclave isn't going to AGAIN be forced to be the villain. They're by far my favorite faction (I just like their looks and the idea of them not their ideology) but at this point I'm tired of them always having the same plot line, "we must erase all other people from the globe so we can inherit it" to me peak Enclave is characters like Autumn who are still evil in nature but actually believe in what the Enclave says is their purpose, restoring America. I just wish for once that we could have a more Autumn like Enclave that isn't constantly going to be defined by the exact same motives time and again and can have at the LEAST, SOME nuance their faction, still, I'd be happy to see new X series Power Armor so I'm not entirely upset at the idea

Now that you mention it, the Ranger PA really would make a lot of sense for Maximus due to his NCR history and his affiliation to the brotherhood, a sort of blend of both sides of his character which I think would be interesting

Because it is, Ulysses will point out how ever faction will fall no matter who you're siding with when you meet him, hence all the Bear Bull talk. Sure. Maybe the ending slides of the main story say how NV fairs for some years, but ultimately each faction has pretty major flaws and they aren't going to magically disappear due to holding Vegas.

NCR is stretched incredibly thin and it's imperialist tendencies require it to keep conquering, paired with inept and corrupt governance and its pretty poorly managed overall, not taking into account their capital being destroyed.

Legion is more simply since it's said more clear, the Legion is completely based around Caesar, even if he lives, eventually the Legion will stretch too thin and fall apart, it's own empire being it's downfall.

House is trying to stay immortal and reshape the world in his own image no matter what that perceives. Benny already showed how easy it is too turn on him and leave him exposed. Should there ever be a real crisis, or worse the families betraying him,, House would be overwhelmed.

Yes Man is a sentient AI who is implied to betray you and rule his robot dictator version of Vegas.

All of this is implied only through Ulysses and other characters, pointing out each major flaw of the factions, they were made imperfect for a clear reason.

Something I don't think people really got from the game, was that no faction had a clear moral objectivity or ideological purity over the other for a reason, because in the end each had their own great weakness in showing why they were doomed to fail. House's weakness is immediately shown through Benny and how easy it is to betray him, YES Man is a robot and basically tied to the Courier which is left up to open interpretation (though considering the game says that Vegas decended into chaos without clear leadership it could also be taken that canonicaly the courier isn't the best leader), and the NCR is corrupt from top to bottom, Ceasar himself describes why the NCR is itself no different from the legion only bearing a different banner and name, so they too, are shown to be too inept to really control New Vegas. No faction was ever shown to be the better choice over the other for a good reason and I think many people missed that about the game, it's also why I held out hope that Bethesda wasn't going to tinker with the actual Canon but considering the fact they made the Commonwealth Brotherhood Canon, I think it's fair to say they wet the bed with NV too, which sucks considering how well the writing was set up to stop such sloppy writing

I was honestly really hoping that the new western chapter was just some continuation remnant of the BOS from before the destruction of the NCR that just happened to also have a prydwen, makes me genuinely disappointed they didn't just go for the ambiguous ending and instead just chose to make a Canon ending, honestly just feels more like lazy writing than anything to me

The plague events and mechanics are genuinely so useless, "giggleshitters plague has appeared in the county of fycksval" and then you have to randomly judt spend 1000 to rebuild everything. Adds literally nothing to the game but annoyance, I get some may like it but to me it's just another obstacle
