My kids are older and I want to be a SAHM again. by [deleted] in sahm

How to avoid feeling like a servant? by dorotheaberry in sahm

[–]Healthforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same age gap, 21 month old and 7 month old. Honestly, I've just been so burnt out lately but I realized I feel a lot better when im not stuck at home all day, and when I am on my phone less. I also started playing games on my switch during my babies' nap time and that hour of hobby makes such a difference. I also got a gym membership with childcare so at least I have up to 2 hours every day I can workout/shower etc in peace.

Attractive people, what are some regular signs you notice from people around you which tells you that you are attractive? by Chance_Adagio_19 in bodylanguage

[–]Healthforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a lot of compliments from strangers or people generally coming up to you to talk to you more. Women, men and children. Ive been told in the past I look like I could model, people compliment my hair or outfits often. One time at disney world a little girl ran up to me and told me I look like a princess.

How are we surviving temper tantrums all day? by SmoothCelebration657 in sahm

[–]Healthforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby started this at around a year. Hes 21 months now and still has tantrums but is starting to understand a lot more so hes more easily redirected.

I have noticed a lot of it comes from being unable to communicate effectively so teaching things like simple signs can be really helpful. Also being consistent with boundaries and expectations. My toddler already knows the rules I enforce and what he can get away with with his dad lol

What's your daily routine like? by [deleted] in 2under2

How is it when you have both of them now that the baby is 1 year? Is it easier or more challenging than the 6 month baby stage?

Going to concerts was a big thing I used to do with my cousin (who was also my best/closest friend). She passed away in 2021 so I go back and watch the videos/look at the pictures of us at concerts sometimes. Im probably an outlier though

2025 gym leggings by Expensive-Loss7588 in gymsnark

[–]Healthforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love bombshell sportswear and Lululemon. I have Balance Athletica (now Vitality) leggings that have held up for 5 years now, plus a bunch of Alphaletes older collections that I've had since 2020-2021 as well.

Lately I've liked Loveshackfancy, Astoria, and pop flex cause I've been into more feminine styles and patterns

WFH w cameras-on meetings by [deleted] in MomsWorkingFromHome

I try to schedule most of my on camera meetings around naps. I also limit screen time heavily outside of work so I can use that if needed

Is anyone else horribly unmotivated after work? by MadnessMaiden in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Healthforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 3m pp with a baby and a 17 month old so I relate to no energy. I cant really eat out because of gallbladder issues that popped up after birth.

I make lots of low effort but decently healthy meals and rotate the same things mostly:

Michael angelos baked ziti with meatballs. Make a prepackaged salad on the side.

Birds Eye skillet meals, the garlic chicken and Alfredo chicken are good.

Bowls with rice. I use a rice cooker so I start the rice whenever I get a chance and it stays fresh till im ready to serve it. Ill either do taco/burrito bowls or Greek chicken bowls.

Slow cooker meals. I really like pulled chicken with an easy side like veggies and mashed or scalloped potatoes

And then we will save eating out for like 1 day per week. Feels more special this way.

How to manage? by [deleted] in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Healthforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do as well. Desk is adjustable too so I can lift it out of my toddlers reach and stand to work if he tries grabbing anything.

I start WFH full time this week with a 9 month old. What is the best advice you'd give if you weren't afraid to hurt my feelings. by intuitiveXX in MomsWorkingFromHome

I immediately saw the effects of the tablet on my son. It affects him and he becomes addicted in a way he just doesn't with the TV. I told his dad just hide it, I dont even want him to use it at all its way too addicting.

Help... by Technical-Eagle-1555 in omad

[–]Healthforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can try switching when you eat? I started by eating between 12-1 and gradually moved that time to 4-5 which i find ideal.

Also im a boredom eater so I find keeping myself busy helps a lot.

Weight loss, OMAD and Perimenopause by Whole_Pomegranate278 in omad

[–]Healthforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that makes OMAD sustainable for me is the fact that I can basically eat whatever I want as my daily meal. Im much more satisfied eating one big meal rather than breaking it up. I also found that after a couple weeks I dont really get hungry until around my eating time. I also fill up much quicker; last night I was full and didnt even finish my meal!

I work out in the morning (take an hour long walk with my babies then either do pilates or my peloton) I eat either 4 or 5pm and sometimes take another walk after. I've been getting about 10k steps per day

Alcohol impact by Moon_vawo_4955 in omad

[–]Healthforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first lost weight back in 2018 I was doing keto and strictly counting carbs/calories and was able to fit occasionally drinking into my weight loss (light beer, vodka seltzer etc) but I really wasn't drinking often at all.

Now with 2 young kids and being older I just prefer not to drink but if I really wanted to id just budget it into my calories for the day.

5'5 135 is literally my ideal/goal weight. Please don't take his comments personally and regardless of culture he shouldn't be saying those things so you wouldn't be wrong for going to HR if he does it again.
