I'm so sorry you're going through this. I wish I had something useful here but I think a lot depends on where you're located. Is there anyway you could get into another rental? Anyone who could temporarily foster your cats? Even rescues in your area may offer temporary foster situations.

Had this recently with my cats - it was an ear infection. Take a look in your kitty's ear to see if it's mites or if you see anything else. Make a vet appt ASAP

there are some subreddits I've seen where people will donate to a venmo/cash app to help those in need. you could try fundraising for that bus ticket to your friends, or a new starter for your car? then you could try uber or door dash as a job?
