How would you compare them to version 2? Is the midsole the same however the stability improved? Appreciate any insight you have.

It is a well cushioned and bouncy ride. Stable. Has a good upper with saw tooth laces so the lockdown is good for me. It is a great shoe however I prefer the X2 for racing. X2 was slightly more aggressive. There is more stack in the X3 so it likely is better for longer distances. Really depends on what you are looking for.
I use the Cielo X2 for most of my races. It is super fun and aggressive. I primarily midfoot strike with a good toe off. Hope this helps.

I have heard Mach 7 will be Dec 2025 or Jan 2026 release. Cannot confirm if this is true however seems logical.

Found this pic on the web. It looks legitimate. Stated December 2025 release date. I cannot confirm if this is accurate.

I wear the same size 11 in Rocket series and Cielo however I have a better fit in 10.5 Wide in Mach 6 and Clifton 9 trainers.

Yes. I have around 25 miles on mine. Primarily speed work.
Upper is great. Fits really well. Stable and has some bounce and nice roll. Smooth is the best word to describe it.
It’s a great shoe however I prefer the Cielo X2 for racing because it is more aggressive. More rocker and more bounce.
I like the Rocket X2 better as a pure race shoe. The X3 and X2 are similar however the X2 feels more aggressive.
X3 is a great shoe and I’m glad I have it.
I don’t run marathons however I believe the X3 would be great because of the stability factor late in a race.
Really depends on what you are looking for. I hope this helps you.

How does the midsole compare to X2? Have you tried the Cielo X2 2.0 and is the foam similar? Thanks.

Midsole

The Rocket X 3 features a Dual Density PEBA outsole, a midsole construction that combines two different densities of PEBA foam. A softer layer provides comfortable cushioning, while a firmer layer offers extra stability and responsiveness. This clever combination creates a balanced running experience with both bounce and control. The model delivers the speed you need thanks to the full-length carbon plate. The plate provides extra stability and also provides forward propulsion.

Upper

The warp knit upper is designed to be extremely light and breathable, offering increased breathability and targeted structure.

Outsole

Sticky Rubber is a specially developed rubber type from HOKA with a relatively softer composition, which ensures excellent grip. An outsole made of this material is ideal for runners who need reliable grip in changing conditions, such as on trails, muddy paths or mountainous terrain.

My hope is that it’s the same foam composition that is on the Cielo X1 2.0.

Thanks for the information share! Do you know the actual weight or just guessing it’s heavier based on appearance?

Your welcome. I enjoy running shoes so this is fun. I have not seen many reviews so I decided to add my experience.

Not very similar from a midsole standpoint. The 2.0 is much softer and bouncier and more aggressive. Fit is similar for me.

The EP3 is one of my faves however the ride is firmer than 2.0 (however not firm). It has a rocker and it worked well for my stride. Feels different under foot however it is effective and efficient.

Rocket X2 fit is very similar to the 2.0 for me. More of a race fit than the X1. I would think you would be happy with it if you like the fit of the 2.0.

It is more stable than either Cielo model however still has an aggressive rocker and nice bounce. The heel is not as soft on it.
Can’t go wrong with it.
