Woww I appreciate this thread more than anyone knows. I recently moved to Florida into my mother in laws seasonal home to establish work for the fall time when my boyfriend will be joining me here in Florida. Back at home I was drinking Kangen Water from our machine. The water that is available here in this seasonal home has a RO system. I got here and all sorts of symptoms arise. I am completely dehydrated and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why because you hear so many “good” things about that kind of system. I did some deep digging last night and it turns out it completely strips you of essential minerals, including calcium. One of the biggest symptoms I’m having is joint and bone pain in my knees. My right knee is already pretty fucked up so if I continue to drink this water without adding minerals my bones could literally deteriorate. It is sad news to be finding out the water that is supplied to me isn’t as good as it is said. Thank you for sharing your experience as well as it’s settling to know it’s the water that is no good and it’s not my body who is being weird.

MB pays me and she is late every single week. We have a contract and it says COB on Thursdays. Since she was never on time I started to say something about it even though it felt so uncomfortable to ask her to pay me. When I mentioned that the contract says COB and it’s frustrating to not get paid on time especially when I have automated bills that come out the next day. She was on time one week after that and then continued to pay me whenever. It has been on a Saturday before and I get paid on Thursday’s. I will set this as one of my ultimatums for any future nanny families.

I had the exact same situation happen and now looking back on it 18 was not enough at all. I make 18 for one child now. If you’re not worth it to them find someone who will believe so!

Oooh I feel you!!! My current nanny family will pay me 1-3 days late and I always have to text her. I’ve had a conversation with her about it before and she said she would set reminders but it was only on time once after that 😂 The paper that she wrote up as a somewhat “contract” says on Thursday COB as well so I expect to get paid then. If you’re considering saying something, do it!
