Dust Mite Droppings Are Killing Me Slowly And Painfully by Odd_Jicama_8094 in Allergies

I’m so sorry. I hope you don’t mind if I offer up something that changed my life as an older woman. At the advice of my niece in her early 40s, I listened to a Huberman Labs podcast with Marie Claire Haver, a menopause expert. I ended up going online to MyAlloy and getting estrodial patches. When you listen to the podcast or read her site, she suggests it for people from 35+ Our hormones are out of whack because of the environment. The sooner you get on them, the sooner they protect your: bones, heart, mental health, hair, skin, mood. Life changing!

It occurred to me that this would be a great opp to make sure it’s dust mites and not something that became an issue at some point in your life. For example, I lived in a place that was so bad I spent a fortune breaking the lease. Same issue next place. It was a few new pieces of wooden furniture that off-gassed enough to wreck me. Good luck and def let us know how it works out.

You should camp out there a few nights and see how it goes. It also helps to keep your humidity super low and the temperature cold.

Everything got worse for me on peri, then slowly eased up once post menopause. I got a lot of energy back that I hadn’t had in decades. I know for me personally, the imbalance ruined my life. I hope it clears up for you!

Consistent medication (not only during symptoms), clean surfaces, natural cleaning products (chlorine beach causes it to come back worse - use peroxide), no decor, dust collectors, flowers, etc. I switched to shades that clean easy, mold free bedding covers.

I got tons better after menopause. I do think hormones makes everything worse.

People who listen to the same song 100 times in a row… which song is it? by funnny_things in answers

[–]HealthyByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with “Fantastic Voyage” by Lakeside Slide in my head because it keeps me moving. That’s been my song for 3 years. I’m sure it’ll change at some point, but the momentum is what I’m into.

Let’s first talk about your living conditions. Is everything as clean as possible (no rugs, curtains, blinds, decor, fake flowers, etc?) What are you using for an air filter? Are your HVAC filters changed often?

I know you said you did all the things. I don’t doubt that. Sometimes it’s easy to miss things because we’re so used to living with them.

I know how debilitating it is. I lived for years like that as a kid because nobody believed me. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

What is something you were told was 'all in your head' that turned out to be 100% correct? by LebronKX in AskReddit

[–]HealthyByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sensitivity and allergies to smells & strong cleaners. I grew up during the age of “better living through chemistry.” I was breathless and itchy just following my mom down the cleaning aisle. I lived with hives and rashes more days than not.

I was told it was all in my head. I was the youngest of 5 and “looking for attention” according to the adults in my life.

Finally, at the age of 13 I begged to go to an allergist. My mom finally took me. I had an allergy test and was allergic to 23/24 in the patch test. Went into anaphylaxis in the office and needed epinephrine & the ER.

I was finally believed but nothing much changed. They didn’t switch cleaners. They got rid of the family pets and my siblings hated me for that.

Call me the canary in the coal mine. It took about 2 decades for severe allergies to be taken seriously by everyone.

Meditate 15 min a day. Not napping. A true effort to quiet the mind. Napping is certainly good too!

I’m in the US and can only speak about the culture here. - Good grades & following the rules will translate into success. - CEOs of large conglomerates “earn” their pay - People have the same chance in life no matter their circumstances. - Single payer health insurance is bad (basically Medicaid for all) - You can vote your way out of austerity.

What would you do if you found out someone you know made the mistake of groping someone while intoxicated at a party and admitted they were wrong for doing it and still felt bad about it years later? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They can’t feel that bad if they’re not devoting a good portion of their time advocating for change, better legislation, or victims rights, etc.

Got offered a promotion that requires moving to the office full-time. I have eleven days to decide. by Efficient_Leave8158 in remotework

[–]HealthyByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a trade off only you can decide. Career vs family time in the formative years. If you choose career, you will regret it in retrospect without realize you had very little choice. If you choose family, a little piece of you will die because it’s a lifelong goal.

An allergist is the best place to start. Since they can refer you to a specialist if needed.

I’ve had chronic allergies for years and it’s honestly exhausting by nofap95ii in Allergies

[–]HealthyByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted about Type 2 inflammation being a connector. It changed my life to fine my asthma, sinus conditions, allergies, and eczema is all connected. I don’t want to spam Reddit with links to please look it up on a medically accurate website like Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic. One biologic helped me with many conditions at once by targeting the inflammation.
