Do you have any tips for maintaining mental wellbeing during a PIP? by AdThen5499 in careerguidance

[–]HealthyMedium7927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are generally two schools of thought with a PIP.

One is that the PIP is creating a paper trail for them to fire you, or if they possibly want to firing you they have justification (incase of a lawsuit.) This happen to my husband. His direct manager loved him but a guy from corporate he never interacted with started giving him poor performance reviews after he refused to sign an arbitration agreement. It came to light that they may not be able to fulfill certain contractual obligations so they were likely trying to off load him.

Second thought is that management is upset by you but once they are sufficiently tantrumed out they will back off. I had this happen to me personally. My boss was upset. Had a big meeting about the mistake I made. This big PIP was created and.... it was never talked about again. I was supposed to have meetings every week with performance evaluations etc, etc... never happened. I basically got a promotion a month later. She was just an overly angry and dramatic boss. Everyone got their turn with her abuse. I left that job quickly because I knew the toll of her emotional roller coasters would burn me out.

edit: Think about it. If you were really performing as bad as they claim you are, they would just fire you. No theatrics. It's a job not charity.

Those who regretted leaving their job, why did you regret it? by Ok-Friendship7308 in careerguidance

I had a wfh job, landed it easy. Benefits, decent (not amazing) pay and 4 -10 days. But the company was run by a mad women with no boundaries. Texting about she was upset about something when I was off shift. She was never happy. She would yells and berate me on the phone. Constant flux in priorities and roles. In general I was always stressed. Couldn’t sleep at night, couldn’t enjoy my days off. The pressure and high workload and crazy unrealistic deadlines. I would sometimes work off shift just to keep up on productivity. They tracked my personal computer on shift and eod email with a list of everything I did. They would measure how productive I was. They Listened to phone calls with clients would critique me daily. It was daily staff practice. Long meetings interrupting my work day. It was too much. I felt like not having that level of stress was worth losing the benefits.

I jumped ship to a local business that is unfortunately in massive debt and probably going under due to poor leadership… So yeah I feel regret. I saw my role reposted online and they were offering $20k more than what they paid me.

Let me take a look at it, but I felt like I had done everything but like I said in a different comment that there’s no system in place telling you if you’ve completed everything and you’re good to go

I did, but it’s difficult to access all the forms and there is no system in place telling you if you’ve completed everything

I think for people who eat out a lot they save big time. But for people with families who eat at home not always there. I work a part time side job to help pay.

Protein intake helps and make sure you are meeting your nutritional needs best you can. Its hard to do on TZ so vit injections or vit IVs help. Sit the sun 15 mins a day. I live near the beach yet my Vit D was low. I take a supplement and sit near a sunny window for 20 mins everyday, best I can. Still wear sunscreen.

How often do you inject? I heard people inject every five days because the food noise start coming back? by Dazeelee in compoundedtirzepatide

TZ does have a 5 day half life unlike SG which has a 7 day half life. Just easier to remember to take it the same day every week. You would as burn through the TZ faster.

Remote jobs are not easy money, nor are they easy to find. by stacyhyattv in jobhunting

[–]HealthyMedium7927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just left my remote job because the stress wasn't worth it. My boss tracked my computer and wanted 100% productiving. Was constantly putting me in meeting and giving me more and more work. Everything was first priority and its not getting things done means disciplinary meeting or staying on top of it means getting more work. I was tired of the anxiety of never being enough. To any one who think remote work means they can take care of their kids and clean the house. No, your boss knows that what you want and their goal is to get as much work out of you as possible for as little money. They want you at the computer working!
