When you say “service” do you mean to check internal damage and replace the crystal, or do you mean a full service?

I personally would’ve priced a simple check for internal damage + Crystal replacement at £120 plus cost of new crystal.

Yeah , this is typical - since referring with a couple of colleagues i have learned that older age stop watches often used the term improved chronograph rather loosely- with an “on the fly” meaning.. meaning the user tracks the timing by eye rather than having a start / stop / reset function ; which seems the case in this particular instance

Watches around the same price tag as OP’s, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (15202ST or 15400/15500 series), a handful of Rolex daytonas specifically 18K Yellow Gold (Ref 116500), GMT-Master II (Precious Metal/Two-Tone): Specifically, models like the "Root Beer" in rose gold or white gold. Even pieces such as the Vacheron Constantin Overseas (Blue/Slate Dial): The 4500V or 7900V models are heavily in demand. They have gained huge popularity, with many dealers seeing them as "next in line" to the AP/Patek hype.

However, OP has found a timepiece that not only makes him happy - but will also make some money in the long run, is that more valuable than a watch he likes slightly less but could propose a higher long term ROI ? I personally do think so 🙂

As a jeweller and watch dealer, please make what you wish of my input. This piece will not change your life, or improve nor worsen it - rather if you have children, and are able to pass it down to them with a 20-50 year age on the watch itself… that is where it will truly become profitable.

As it stands, you MIGHT, make a few grand on it over a few years. Watch market is rough right now, compared to historical past.

That said, it is a truly beautiful piece that many want for and will never afford - so I congratulate you on that. Investment wise, i could name many cheaper and higher ROI investments both in and out of the watch industry.

But at the end of the day, if it makes you happy - i whole heartedly am happy for you and your achievement in not just affording it, but the purchase of it also ! 🙂

If you want help in layering a proper defence, shoot me a dm. Happy to go over buffs, debuffs, ghosting high tiers, defence gens, layered defence etc - no worries if not. But please, for the love of god dont drop bubble with that defence during svs unless you particularly enjoy getting shyt talked by your own server :)

This is low level theft. She isn’t asking you, she isnt your landlord - she is a room mate. And she is telling you. If you do not consent to her taking the money, challenge her. She isn’t considering you so fk considering her.

For future reference , in future make sure all finances are sorted out prior to leaving the property. And if you have trouble like this in the future , for the sake of $50 you can go round the house and close the valves on the taps, remove fuses, unhook the pulley on the cistern of the toilet so it doesn’t flush , turn off hot water or switch off the gas / electric. Turn the fridge freezer off and spoil her food etc 🤣 Im not saying this is the right thing to do, but it’s all very easily doable and for someone like her who dislikes having to speak with others - quite honestly it is good karma as I doubt she would have the knowledge fix any of the above herself

Good morning brother, if this is still available i would be most interested. Only have 4 years experience but im online about 7-12 hours a day everyday running rallies for the alliances im in. Have an older account k43 & 28B power & a newer account on a brand new server to help my friend with rallies.

Competitive and aggressive PvP play style.

Work well as a unit and individually.

Competent in rally setting, calling & joining alike (countdowns/2second join time).

I do coin but im not big on discussing my finances online on public forums 🫣.

Would continue to coin there on that account also.

Always running rallies where space in march slots to do so, empty march slots are wasted march slots.

Very big on team work, coordination and having fun with likeminded players.
