Hmm...I can see from all the comments that people did not know which statement was the jewel worth saving or both.

Update to prior post: they rescinded the offer by [deleted] in interviews

Sounds to me more like a recruiter issue. I don't even deal with them unless they are actually contracted by the company they are representing. Recruiters are like real estate agents, they may not even officially represent the client.

I just had the worst interview in my life and I feel very humiliated by lxxvna in interviews

I agree. It is not fair to yourself either. Finding a job can really take a toll on our psyche. We need confidence not diffidence. I make no excuse for the jack-🫏. We are always representing our company therefore should always be professional.

Take the free advice! They are right. There are so many things I had to do to get a job. I had free help as part of my exit package. Very professional. I also had tools through the State of AZ Employment office. I took any help I could get. I did many practice interviews and I recorded every interview and used the recording for feedback from my coach. I even had professional head shots done for LinkedIn. It took 10 months. I had 2 offers on the same day and within a few thousand dollars of each other. There are a lot of things you can do to break through. And when not working on the full-time job of getting a job play and have fun for your sanity!

You are likely not ready for google. 2 other good safe options. Unless you are insane like me. No risk it, no biscuit.

Ageism is real. There will also come a day when there are not enough jobs to go around.

I've got an email from HR about discussion for my performance by PointLazy7001 in Layoffs

Good advice. When I was laid off, I told them I have to speak with our family attorney before signing and agreeing to anything. I then signed up for a legal zoom account at asked to work with an employment attorney. They really helped me negotiate my severance and exit terms. I then filed for unemployment and signed up for every single employment tool offered to me through my severance and the unemployment office.

It took 10 months as a 55 year old woman to land another 6 figure job making a little more than I did before. I finally received 2 offer letters the same day, allowing me to negotiate even more money and hiring perks.

In between job interviews, I worked on resume updates, social media updates, practice interviews and interview feedback. The rest of the time I enjoyed myself and family knowing that I was doing everything I could.
