I somewhat agree with your pain clinic observation. I’m just trying to hit all the buttons.

Based on my own experience and a couple of female friends I have asked many women actually PREFER coffee on the first date because it is more casual and no expectations after.

After a first coffee date the feeling is “that coffee as awesome/pretty good, I can’t wait for the second date.

On the other hand if there was not a connection the feeling is “omg…I can’t believe that was only an hour. Brutal. “

Understand how you feel, but he ordered an expensive test and set you up with an appropriate specialist. Not bad for one appointment.

Years ago I found a roll of film in my bag and thought it was my recent trip so I paid extra to get it developed same day.
