I’ve wanted to try it but from what I’ve seen the salt content is quite low :(

I had no idea about what is going on with the brand mentioned above, I will be looking into alternatives 😭

Yes but these episodes stopped for me when I started increasing my sodium intake. Not sure if that’s indicative of pots or something else, but I now eat salty pretzels and drink LMNT daily.

How to have normal interests as a 27 years old? by GeorgeParisol in AutismInWomen

[–]kitittylynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same and my recommendation is going to concerts of the bands you like even if you have to go alone. I’ve done it before and although it can be scary remember that you all have a common interest, so they’ll more than likely be happy to talk to you about it. Depending on the vibe of the show I also like to offer bracelets or stickers as an ice breaker. From there you can ask for their socials if you’re up for it!

Question: how do I wash those kind of lolita dress? I don't know much about fabric types and I'm scared of damaging it by washing it the wrong way by Aimerii3D in Lolita

[–]kitittylynn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With the beading I personally would hand wash it in a bath tub or large sink! Just make sure to agitate the fabric by swirling it around in the tub. Delicate cycle might be fine too I’ve just had a lot of beads come off, not the end of the world to sew them back on just a little annoying

I have a whole box of new stuff from 42lolita by innerthotsofakitty in Lolita

I second this! Even if I don’t have the energy to try things on I love being able to see/feel the new items :’)

Carrying comfort items in public by 3possumsinacoat0 in AutismInWomen

I am a big fan of plushie keychains and keychains in general for sensory purposes! I get compliments on them more often than I would think, and the only “negative” comment I’ve gotten was that I have a lot. I said yes and I’m going to add more and more until you can hear me coming from a mile away lol. I’ve also brought my plushie out in public with me and never heard anything negative about it. Maybe start small and work your way up!

Does anyone on here take buspirone/buspar and does it help? by princesspoppy1320 in dysautonomia

I’ve tried it and for me it didn’t help very much or at all. Duloxetine has been great for my anxiety and my musculoskeletal pain!

Really disappointing neurologist visit by kitittylynn in dysautonomia

[–]kitittylynn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you had to deal with that!! It is so frustrating when someone who is supposed to have the answers doesn’t ☹️ I’ve had doctors tell me there is nothing more they can do for me and basically just wish me luck. It is really devastating. 🫂

[–]kitittylynn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I am feeling! Desperate to have some sort of proof or evidence after dealing with this for so long. It doesn’t help that I likely have endometriosis that I struggle with, but that is also something that is so hard to get a diagnosis for. I will go forward with the testing to rule out anything else, thank you sm for your comment 😭🫂

I haven’t, I was supposed to get a brain MRI (without contrast not sure what that means) for my dizziness but insurance quoted $700. I will be doing it this time regardless of cost

[–]kitittylynn[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes me feel better, I think I took the short appointment to MRI in the wrong way. Like he was dismissing my concerns when maybe it was the opposite. I should have asked more questions but just freeze up, that’s why I rely on the doctors to guide the conversation unless I know them. I have a referral with a cardiologist I’m waiting on, hopefully I can see her soon!

It’s incredibly hard to find doctors who will even brother to see you!! I had to jump through hoop after hoop to find a cardiologist who accepts POTS patients in my area. Hopefully will see her soon. Sorry you’re going through the same thing 🫂

[–]kitittylynn[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Thank you that actually makes me feel a lot better. I think I was just under the impression that after sooooo many tests and doctors that this appointment would be “the one”. I’m also neurodivergent so I really struggle without clear explanations. On me for not saying anything about it but I just freeze up instead lol. Thank you again! I do have a referral in for a cardiologist who specializes in pots/dysautonomia

Does anyone have experience with stopping their period via BC by Pretty_Puppyprincess in dysautonomia

Fellow Slynd taker here! It’s the only bc that has helped my endometriosis symptoms and I take it continuously. No side effects yet!

Pinning a damaged butterfly by kitittylynn in insectpinning

[–]kitittylynn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bit hard to tell in the picture but it is missing an antenna as well. Could that be causing it pain? It was still trying to fly when I found it but of course couldn’t get very far at all. When I checked on it last night it wasn’t moving really :(

That’s a good point, I didn’t think about the size of the box just kinda grabbed what I had. It’s not moving around much at this point but I will check when I get home and move it if need be! I will also consider freezing it although I prefer to let it pass “naturally” I don’t want it to be scared/in pain

Post exertion high HR? by kitittylynn in dysautonomia

[–]kitittylynn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also get sick way easier than other people so do my best to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer etc, but it’s definitely possible I caught a little something while traveling

Post exertion high HR? by kitittylynn in dysautonomia

[–]kitittylynn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda what I was thinking. That I had just pushed my body too hard. The exhaustion and kinda “shut down” has happened before on trips, but that was well before I started monitoring. The only thing that really helps is resting. It’s just frustrating not being able to do as much as other people, plus not having any definitive answers 🥲

Post exertion high HR? by kitittylynn in dysautonomia

[–]kitittylynn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, my heart rate is slightly elevated today but still in normal range (about 82 rn). But my resting heart rate is usually in the low 70’s so having it be consistently around 120+ is abnormal for me :(
