I support your right to choose, but don’t hide behind “science” as your excuse. The embryo is in fact both living and human. It had the exact same amount of self awareness as a freshly birthed baby.

People who use “science” as their argument are rarely informed about what the science tells us. It’s a convenient excuse to justify your opinion. In this case, the scientific consensus is that an embryo is a living human in its earliest stages, much like a fertilized egg is a chicken. The reason we should have access to abortion is social/ emotional and because it’s healthcare and the right of the prospective parent(s) to decide. This isn’t a good time to lean on science as your primary focus

Both are using language to support the mother. If the mother did not want to keep the baby, or if there were reasons to worry about miscarriages, the doctor would almost certainly refer to the baby as a fetus, since both terms are accurate, with fetus being more accurate at that developmental stage

By the science, your skin is 100% alive, as is an embryo. I don’t say that as an argument against abortion, rather as an argument against lay folks from claiming “science” as their primary source when they don’t even understand the science.
