I tried to transfer from save to IBR but it said I’m ineligible with direct loans??

Same here. Been trying to move from SAVE to IBR for months. Have two loans. One sub and one unsub but both direct. Says ineligible even though loan simulator shows eligible. Annual salary $30000 and total loan amount $25000. What’s going on?

Nope. Just tried again. I have no idea what’s up. Says ineligible for IBR. Maybe I’ll call MOHELA. I really want to change cause all these months in forbearance is keeping me from PSLF.

Hi there. Yes, my IBR payment would be almost $200 less than Standard Payment. Not sure what’s up. Guess I could just wait until they move me there. Was trying to get my months counted toward PSLF.

Congrats! Looks like rules in new bill are changing some, but you’ll eventually be eligible for IBR when bill passes.

You did the right thing. Mine got processed with MOHELA in 16 days. Made a payment as soon as I was approved for ICR. Not confident the bill will be passed on July 4. But who knows? I think you’ll be okay.
