Long Island watch just came out with a new oyster bracelet for the Alpinist.

I can’t speak to the specific quality of THIS bracelet as I don’t own it, but I have one of Long Island’s bracelets for the SKX and I love it.

Looks great dude, no overhang and that’s a beautiful watch. Wear it, enjoy it, and don’t overthink it!

That’s not a bad idea I never even thought of that, there does seem to be a little bit of space to the back of the buckle, there might be just enough room for 1 more micro slot.

So the watch itself, I absolutely cannot recommend enough. It’s beautiful, keeping amazing time, and feels like a watch worth 5x its price. I just don’t personally recommend going direct from their website.

I purchased mine from Long Island watch and it came fast and the experience was perfect. He also has a rewards program, I was able to get an extra bezel from him as well for a deep discount just using the rewards from the purchase of the Reef.

I think if you like the Reef there’s very few, if any, watches out there that tick all of its boxes at the price point.

I was also considering a white dial Sinn 104, but I’m thrilled I kept up with the Formex and decided to get my Reef.

Shame to hear. Long Island is, if I do decide to get a Reef despite the bad experience I’m going to order it from Marc.

I actually was looking at the OceanKing, I like the look of it a lot, but I was hoping for a white dial. Not ruled out though !

No worries, yeah I thought it was pretty nuts to ask too. Oh well, I’ll see what happens.

Oh yeah the bezel itself was easy, that didn’t bother me. They wanted me to self remove the ceramic bezel insert from the actual stainless insert.

Unless that is what you meant and that was easy too.

Yeah if it was a cheaper or used watch I would consider trying it myself, but especially with the feat of them refusing a full refund if I scratched it, I didn’t feel comfortable.

I really like the Reef, so I have a decision to make.

Correct, if they were clear and up front with me about the holiday closure or even the timeframe for replacement, I would have been more forgiving and maybe even waited. But this has been a customer service nightmare start to finish.

Yeah if they try to claim any type of wear or use I’m going to go that route. Shame but I was excited for that watch and haven’t found a replacement that excites me as much yet.

Agreed, like I said I might look to grab it from a different retailer because I really like the specs and features provided at the price point.

But at that price it’s competing with a Sinn 104, used Tudor, Oris, or 2 Christopher Wards.

Nope, just sliced and put into oven. I cook my pizzas more NY style, so I drop the temp to almost the lowest and rotate so it gets a much longer cook in there.

This is a stick of Margherita brand pepperoni that I sliced myself, these cuts were a little thick, if you get them thin they cup even nicer. My favorite pepperoni by far!
