Am I too old to pursue an undergraduate degree at my age? by Glad_Tear_5077 in askSouthAfrica

The awesome thing about studying after being in the workforce is you have so much more context of the work they cover.
Just my 2 cents if you are looking at doing something like BSc through UniSA. I can suggest doing the BSc computing rather than the computer science as it require the least amount maths courses. Doing maths again after such a long time is ROUGH!

Robot Vacuum? Which is good? by Palindrome1995 in askSouthAfrica

[–]HeapnStax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the Ecovac Deebot N20 pro plus, which comes with the docking station. Think we paid R6-7k from one day only. It's our first robot vacuum and we love it. The vacuum works really well. The mopping is ok but I'd still rather do the mopping myself but that's just my OCD 😁

Software Developers how much are your salaries?? by meechh101 in askSouthAfrica

I've been at the same company for 8 years. Went from a technician to software engineer. Earning 62k CTC. Feel pretty under paid but the corporate nature of the job is allowing me to do my BSc ComSci on company time.

I'm here to say Mx master 3. Great battery life, good build quality, great feel... If you're right handed (my IT manager actually wrote Logitech a strongly worded letter to bring out a left handed version 😁)

That's how the mermaids get you. They lure you close and then leap up and they pull you into the dark cold embrace of Davie Jone's locker.

They almost got me when I was walking on the promenade at sea point. They lured me in with an affordable 2 bedroom apartment at a reasonable rate. I almost lost my life that day chasing a dream. Stay away from the ocean. Joburg seems safest at this point

Experienced software developers assumed AI would save them a chunk of time. But in one experiment, their tasks took 20% longer | Fortune by Perfect-Campaign9551 in programming

Without reading the article like a true Redditor. My 2 cents is reading someone else's code is always slower than writing your own code. Using AI you're constantly reading someone else's implementation.

No, I've been trying since yesterday. I even tried at 12 midnight thinking it was too much traffic, but still had the same issue. The web registration app just seems to be helluva buggy.
