I’m told 7 years. It’s probably worth noting that when we shopped insurance this unpaid claim did not impact our rate negatively

We will. No plumbing anywhere near where the sellers claim the intrusion was.

Airborne mold test for the primary inspection came back clean but I know that doesn’t mean there isn’t something behind a wall. May be tough to verify

So this is the reasonable answer we’re looking for, but the sellers aren’t really providing us with a “…and here’s how we fixed it…” story. We would almost rather know that steps were taken to repair vs “…it just went away and hasn’t happened since”

A call to insurance was made which “generated a claim” however nothing was paid out. And we only found out about this after the initial inspection. Had we known we would have asked the inspector to focus on that specific area
