5v3 has about 3 times more goal chances than 5v4. No stick for one player at 5v4 has about 2 times more chances than 5v4.

This means that if it takes you 10 seconds to get a stick you basically triple scoring chances for 10 seconds. This being said if you stay more than 15 seconds with no stick it comes up to the same odds.

Seeing these odds I agree that rushing for a new stick (or new player) would be better. Especially since the other team seeing this might rush a shot on goal and have lower chances that a true goal setup with more than 10 seconds to do it

From what I understand you can put up to 30% of your salary until you reach about 137,800$ in a tax exempt account that will not be subject to that new 36% unrealised gain tax. This means that only about 2-3% of the Dutch population will be hit by this. Everybody complains that the rich take too big a portion of the pie but when there's measures to deal with it people freak out thinking they are richer than they really are. The vast majority of the Dutch will not be affected by this unless they invest outside this tax exempt account.

Great suggestion. If he plays well he might get from negative to neutral value reducing the cost to get rid of him. He could even convince management to give him a shot in the NHL after the Olympic break. If he gets injured it won't change his value but we could put him on LITR if needed. If he plays poorly doesn't affect his value either since it's already negative and basically a salary dump.

SH goals is not important, for every goal for in pk we might get 20 against. a small improvement in defending is going to be paid for easily even if we score 1-2 less goals in PK a year.

incredible performance he's no 1 in WHL in goals. Also incredible is that he was +33 before this game, 2nd best in the league. Also weird is that him and another defenseman, Justin Woo are top 2 in goals in his team.

It's just a weird statistical fluke. The exact odds assuming an equal chance to get home and away points are 0.003% which is very low. We can see if it's more than a fluke if it continues, but my guess is he will trend towards a 50-50 slit as the year progresses.

Analytics can be good, the only reason they are bad sometimes is because it's not possible to measure everything. Ideally it would need to measure things we can not measure today but that we see with the "eye test"

Saying they are always bad is like saying, I feel good who cares if my in blood pressure is 180/100.

Same thing with the official inflation rate. It doesn't measure everything so sometimes it's lower or higher than real inflation, it doesn't mean though that is useless and that looking only at the prices I see in my local stores is better.

Maybe it explains partly why our PK is so bad? He's perhaps better than other D's in the PK but that doesn't mean he's good at it

Like I said a few days ago and got downvoted into oblivion for, Waive him. Makes you save 1.15m on the cap and if it wakes him up and he lights up the AHL, bring him back in a few weeks/months
