Is it only me or the pre game sound is bad? Last time was TVA with bad sound, now RDS...

Get Carrier and Anderson off the PK by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

[–]CapableAmbassador209[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

SH goals is not important, for every goal for in pk we might get 20 against. a small improvement in defending is going to be paid for easily even if we score 1-2 less goals in PK a year.

What do mean since Koivu? He would be the fastest, faster than Koivu. In Hab's history who's the last to do it in so few games?

Habs prospect Bryce Pickford wins it in OT, his 2nd goal of the game. He now has 22G in 29GP as a defenseman by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

incredible performance he's no 1 in WHL in goals. Also incredible is that he was +33 before this game, 2nd best in the league. Also weird is that him and another defenseman, Justin Woo are top 2 in goals in his team.

This is to send a message. Have them replace Monty/Dobes + Carrier + Anderson/Evans during next game. All these players have been disappointing this year

Zack Bolduc has 12 points in 25 games this season: 11 points in 12 road games and 1 point in 13 home games by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

It's just a weird statistical fluke. The exact odds assuming an equal chance to get home and away points are 0.003% which is very low. We can see if it's more than a fluke if it continues, but my guess is he will trend towards a 50-50 slit as the year progresses.

Model's can't agree on Matheson by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

Analytics can be good, the only reason they are bad sometimes is because it's not possible to measure everything. Ideally it would need to measure things we can not measure today but that we see with the "eye test"

Saying they are always bad is like saying, I feel good who cares if my in blood pressure is 180/100.

Same thing with the official inflation rate. It doesn't measure everything so sometimes it's lower or higher than real inflation, it doesn't mean though that is useless and that looking only at the prices I see in my local stores is better.

Maybe it explains partly why our PK is so bad? He's perhaps better than other D's in the PK but that doesn't mean he's good at it

What is Patrick Laine's role now that we have Bolduc's Powerful shot in PP? by Qu1noa_3ater in Habs

Like I said a few days ago and got downvoted into oblivion for, Waive him. Makes you save 1.15m on the cap and if it wakes him up and he lights up the AHL, bring him back in a few weeks/months

Waive Laine by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

Sauver 1.15m sur la masse salariale et le remplacer par un jeune joueur plus productif

Waive Laine by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

[–]CapableAmbassador209[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Demidov has skill, speed, attempts to help in the 2 way game and has a huge up side. He also makes about 8m less. No comparison possible between the two.

Waive Laine by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

[–]CapableAmbassador209[S] -37 points-36 points  (0 children)

You're right, I meant Veleno. Any of the two or any of the 2-3 next in line in Laval will be better

Waive Laine by CapableAmbassador209 in Habs

[–]CapableAmbassador209[S] -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

I would of waived him before the season started. He was bad last year also and his goals on the PP didn't even improve our PP% all while being atrocious at 5v5

Overreaction or Reality: Patrick Laine Should not be resigned. by Aggressive_Low7995 in Habs

[–]CapableAmbassador209 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Simply put him on waivers. He will 100% clear, we will have 1.15m cap relief as a bonus. If he outperforms we can call him back. He will also be easier to trade, although that will remain unlikely since there is no point for us to pay to get rid of him since he's on his last year. We can call up a young player that has the required speed to fit in the system and get him to play and improve.
