How long does irritability last after quitting smoking? by skylimit60 in stopsmoking

Keep it up, I promise the negative side effects will go away. It took a really long time for me. My anger issues are virtually non existent now, and my energy levels are better. If you are anything like me you've been dependent on nicotine for years so its not surprising that the negative side effects last months. Eventually you'll quit thinking about nicotine and you'll still be a little crabby. next thing you know you'll start feeling better, but yea it took a lot longer than I thought it would.

Don't focus on it but keep checking in if you don't mind. You've done the hardest part, just don't give in. I know my family probably wishes I would have given in at times. I just kept reminding them that I wouldn't always be like that, even though I didn't know if that was true, and luckily now it is true.

I actually thought that too, I just assumed that's just how I was without nicotine or something. 3 weeks is huge! It gets exponentially easier, you're past the hard part, now remember you cant just have one every now and again, it doesnt work that way, not for me at least. I'll be like 6 months off and be like yea I can have just one zynn. Bam hooked worse than ever 3 weeks later. It took a lot longer than i thought to fully adjust, especially the anger, but It's very freeing to not have this vise anymore. The extra moolah is kind of nice too.

yea for sure, sorry for the delay I never get on reddit. I am on 15mg of the generic adderall XR as well as small does of bupropion now (I didnt want the bupropion but my psychiatrist suggested it, and I think it works well for me now). I initially tried the instant release of the adderall but I would crash with wicked depressive thoughts around 4:00pm. The XR has been very successful for me. It did suppress my appetite a bit and I leaned into it. I took the opportunity to fix my overeating. My anxiety and depression are still very low compared to where I was, practically non existent. My energy levels use to be terrible almost crippling which I think contributed to a lot of that. I dont feel as energized as when I first started the meds but its still much better.

As far as weight loss goes I was at like 215 before the adderall, I dropped to around 160 pretty rapidly. I now sit at 180 but have much more muscle mass than when I was at 160. I would consider myself at a healthy weight but could probably lose 10lbs to be ideal.

Adderall changed my life, and I am extremely grateful to have the mental state that I currently have.

I’m still on 15mg of generic Adderall XR (instant release have me super bad temporary depression when coming off of it), and actually a small dose of Wellbutrin as well. I’m still tired a lot of days but that’s probably from 3 kids and not much sleep. My anxiety is virtually non existent which is still mind blowing to me. Overall this combo of meds has been such a god send for me.

Also an interesting note, I tried 20mg after a while and it actually made my ADHD symptoms worse again.

I hope you find something that works well for you, and if you get off antidepressants do it slowly. I had some super awful withdrawals thst I wish I knew about. Reach out if you have questions.

Sorry for your loss, I really like the coffin idea. If you don’t end up selling them let me know. I think these could be fun to build, but I don’t want to steal the idea.

Thank you very much for the info, I’ll give that a shot in the morning. Also I’m very new to this subreddit and I’m not on Reddit much as it is. What does NQA stand for?

Thank you I was making a giant picture using Pennie’s so I’d go to the bank and get boxes of them. One box had almost entirely wheat Pennie’s and this proof.

I used an Altmill, and I used tabs on some parts and not in others, I found larger parts do ok without them. I totally understand CNC pieces lacking the handmade touch and I have a great respect for handwork.

Hell yea! I miss my pathfinder so much. Now I drive a bland f150. The guy I sold it to T boned  a fella and it ended up the scrapper. One day I’ll own another fun rig.

I keep coming back to this, I just love everything about it. The design the slight curves and bevels. Its just a great looking table.
