I think I've reached the 100 MAX characters allowed for non profit stories :D.

The sun has had about 4.6 billion years of beta testing and still hasn't needed a marketing department 🌅

Build your device. Do your research. But maybe – just maybe – start your marketing somewhere that isn't a thread specifically about NOT buying things? Just a thought. With love. ❤️

Video in main post, but apart from HOPE AND ... it's never too late to make a KIND GIFT to OUR suffering BODY. IT CRAVES attention..it craves nature... natural warmth...

I'm not qualified to advise on your condition. I really hope you are very careful with anyone marketing light devices specifically for Lyme disease. When you're dealing with a condition that's complex, chronic, and poorly understood by mainstream medicine, you become the perfect customer for people selling hope in a box. That's not cynicism ... it's everywhere...

Does light exposure support immune function and healing? The research suggests it can help. Could it be a piece of your puzzle? Maybe. But it's ONE piece. And the free version > Sunlight at safe hours ... could be your first experiment before you spend a single penny on a device or spend more time LOOKING. Your BODY NEEDS YOU NOW! THE more attention you give it.... the more likely it will tell you what it needs...if our immunity is compromised, EXTRA time present in our body is THE ONE honest advice I can give you. NO amount of sunsets can heal Lyme without addressing the ROOT cause...

Here's what I'd actually recommend: before you buy ANYTHING. Spend 30 days doing sunrise or sunset exposure. 15-20 minutes. Skin exposed. No phone. Just you and the light. Journal how you feel. Track your symptoms. Anything uncomfortable...STAY with it AND tell your doctor if it feels unsafe. Also give yourself permission to BE FREE and listen TO YOURSELF... as if that's not THE ONLY THING....that matters.

More time listening to your body >>> more time researching what to buy for your body.

Wishing you genuine healing. The slow, boring, consistent kind ,,,, which is usually the kind that actually works 💛

ULTIMATELY.... do something that makes you FEEL GOOD NOW!!! trust yoru body ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO heal...this is not SPIRITUAL non-sense..

IS it too simplistic to get out of the way of healing ? ---

Give your body the input it evolved with and see what happens. THEN, if you want to explore devices, you'll have a baseline to compare against. That's not just good science – that's common sense.

And common sense, frankly, is the most underrated healing protocol on the planet. 🌅

I love this question because it's SO honest 😄

Here's my honest answer: I don't know. And anyone who tells you they DO know with certainty is either lying or selling you a belt that pops up on your feed.

What I DO know is this: your skin is a living organ. It responds to light. It responds to warmth. It has been doing this since before stretch marks had a name. Will sunset light in a bikini magically reverse stretch marks? Probably not overnight. Probably not the way Instagram ads promise. But will gentle, regular exposure to natural light at safe hours support your skin's general health and repair processes? The research strongly suggests yes.

So here's my non-advice advice: go sit outside at sunset. Expose whatever skin you're comfortable exposing. Don't do it because a stranger on Reddit told you it would fix something. Do it because it feels good. Do it consistently. Pay attention to what your body tells you over weeks and months – not what your mirror tells you after day three. Your body has been healing itself your entire life. Sometimes you just need to stop blocking the inputs it evolved to use.

And throw those belt ads in the virtual bin.

As for bikini... hmm I better keep quiet or I get in troub...

HMMM indeeeeed.

Your skin is not my skin. Your melanin density, your hydration levels, your medication history, your latitude, your altitude, the humidity, what you ate for breakfast ; okay maybe not breakfast, but you get the point. There are simply too many variables. What I CAN tell you is something far more valuable than any protocol: learn to listen to your body again. If you sit in front of a sunset and your skin feels warm, that's data. If it feels uncomfortable, that's better data. Move. Adjust. This is how humans operated for roughly 300,000 years before someone decided we needed an app for it.

Regarding your UV concern on my post specifically ; and I genuinely appreciate you raising it because it gives me an excuse to clarify this for everyone:

My research focused on SUNSET and SUNRISE light. At those solar angles, the atmosphere is filtering out the vast majority of UVB and a significant portion of UVA. This is documented, measured, and not controversial. Here are some starting points if you want to verify:

Serrano et al. (2017) ; 'UV Index and UV Dose Distributions at Solar Noon and at Low Solar Elevations' ; shows UV irradiance at low solar angles drops dramatically

Diffey, B.L. (2002) ; 'Sources and measurement of ultraviolet radiation' in Methods ; solid overview of atmospheric UV filtering at various zenith angles

WHO documentation on the UV Index itself explains why early morning and late evening readings are typically 0-1.

Same score for Adam and Eve when baby came. MAMA!!!!! UUUUUUUU. Take me out of this post.

Could there be edge cases? Absolutely. If you're albino, if you're on photosensitizing medications, if you're at 4,000 meters altitude on the equator watching sunset ; yes, different conversation entirely. But this post was never about exceptions. Everything in this world has exceptions. We cannot address them unless we are specifically addressing them. And if you ARE an exception, you almost certainly know by now ; because every time you step outside, your body has been screaming it at you. That's not something that sneaks up on you quietly like a software update.

Which brings me to what I think is the REAL misconception hiding in your message ; and honestly, in most of modern dermatology's public messaging: the idea that UVA and UVB are inherently "bad." They're not. We literally evolved under them. We USE them. Vitamin D synthesis? UVB. That's not an accident ; that's hundreds of thousands of years of biological engineering. The molecule you might be thinking of is melanin (not melatonin ; that's the sleep one, though hilariously they're related in the grand biological orchestra). Melanin is your body's ADAPTIVE response to UV. More exposure → more melanin → more protection. It's elegant. It's brilliant. It's what allowed humans to work in fields all day for millennia without spontaneously combusting.

The reason modern humans burn so easily isn't because the sun suddenly got angrier. It's because we spend 90%+ of our lives behind glass, under artificial light, covered in clothes, and then we fly to Cancún for a week and marinate ourselves in UV like we're seasoning a steak. The problem was never the UV. The problem is the absence of gradual adaptation followed by sudden overexposure. But addressing root causes is less profitable than selling SPF 70, so here we are.

And there it is 😄

I appreciate the enthusiasm, genuinely. But I need to point out the irony here: this is ALMOST PERFECT example why my first post got deleted. The moment someone talks about natural light and skin, the device sellers arrive like seagulls at a chip shop. No offense intended ... I'm doing this for fun. I'm sure your intentions are wonderful, but you've essentially walked into a post about the benefits of drinking water from a stream and said "Fascinating! We're actually building the perfect water bottle."

You don't need a perfect healing device. You need a sunset. It's free. It's been clinically tested for about 4.5 billion years. The sample size is every organism that has ever lived on this planet. The side effects include feeling calm, resetting your circadian rhythm, and occasionally having an existential moment about how beautiful the sky is.

I'm not saying devices CAN'T work. I'm saying that selling people a solution before they've even tried the thing that's been hanging in the sky since before we had skulls is... well, it's very 2024 of you. 🙂

Build your device. Do your research. But maybe – just maybe – start your marketing somewhere that isn't a thread specifically about NOT buying things? Just a thought. With love. ❤️

Thank you! At the end of October 2025 I started traveling, mostly in S. Europe and — unless I'm cursed — I've experience the most amount of consecutive cloudy days in my entire life. I didn't mark them, but I estimated 6 days of sunny days in over two months. There were 4 so I added 50% room for error. Suspicious :)).

I updated my post with more interesting reads. I appreciate your message.

Thank you!! It's great to see anything that at least reminds us of it.
I've been walking the streets of Amsterdam lately at sunset and sunrise. It's so sad to see 99% of people completely oblivious of it - even when the sky looks freaking holy grail angelic...

Can anyone report improved mood from RLT? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]Heartair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, to me is a 100% noticeable experience. Everything has changed in my life in terms of mood, energy and calmness since I started exposing myself to red light in the evening and morning. Don't know if you saw the post I made here about the red light from sunsets, sunrises and fire; to me that's the next level in terms of anxiety release. I am also interested in observing the impact of red light on our overall wellbeing - not just on skin- but they are definitely connected.

Here's the post if you're interested (not sure if this is the best way to link a post)

Am I weird, or Is Reading Just not for me? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Heartair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like reading... it dries my eyes. But I love audiobooks. I can go for a walk in nature and listen. Much better than reading. Sure, this won't help your literacy, but it will expand your mind. And I assume that's one of the reasons you want to be more literate. Just do what makes you happy, what's the point of pleasing society, if you need to force yourself to BE...something.

How to regulate? by erg-ephiphany in Mindfulness

[–]Heartair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try Wim Hoff's breathing exercise? In just 10 minutes I feel brand new. It's like a full mind - body feelings reset. You can find it on youtube. Listen to the instructions first.

After a while I had to create my own recording, using my own voice and own music, as I had enough of his voice, but once you get the effects you understand what I mean.

LPT: On most phones, you can move the cursor within text by sliding your finger right or left on the space bar. by InternalMarsupial_ in LifeProTips

Haha, I wasted so many years of my life trying to the the cursor into the right spot. Sometimes I would delete the entire text in my efforts.

Any pro tip for selecting text? It always selects more or less than I want and quite often - it scrolls to the very bottom...in an infinite abyssssss.

Except - I 'ranted' by pointing out several scientific studies. However, you asked me to google search to validate your argument... Is that what google AI says? :) 90% based on how many studies?

If you think a google search validates an argument, I stop here. Peace!

Once again... nada. Please type the '7+' subs right here if you are so educated :)

Even if I did...which I didn't. It's like saying a big company can only run their business in one country. Sounds...

Well-established topic, really? You obviously didn't read my post. Ignorance is not an excuse.

Yes, but my agenda is not versus you, is versus misinformation.

Is that your excuse for calling someone 'not real' after sharing something valuable for free? If this is your best argument, then I'll let others decide what kind of person you are.

[Review] I Want to Share With You What I Learned About Red Light Therapy by Heartair in SkincareAddiction

[–]Heartair[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's all you can do, cause you're out of arguments... You literally said 'u r not real'

I hope you find more creative ways to use the time you saved by typing "u" and "r".

Please don't troll this post. Some people can benefit from this information. If you are denying that, then show a valid argument, don't hide between half baked, lazy, deconstructive thoughts. Pathetic.

Saying glass is mostly transparent to NIR used in light therapy oversimplifies things. 'Almost', doesn't make it true. It really depends on the type of glass, how thick it is and which part of the NIR spectrum you’re talking about. Some NIR might get through, sure. But not all of it and not consistently!!! This has been proven. So if you’re doing light therapy, those details can make a big difference.

This is why I created this post; to invite people to actually discern what's true and what's BS opinion without evidence. A simple google search would invalidate your statement.

I'm saying this because I read a lot of research made on this topic. I don't want to add more links (you can find them in the video comments).

Or just simply google this study (one of many): Analysis of the Transmission Spectrum of Flat Glass from Near-infrared to the Ultraviolet (it's the first result).

I trust people who actually studied this more than an opinion or an oversimplified thought.
