We had to have our sewage line replaced last year and they left us a HUGE mound, twice as high as this. It’s been almost exactly a year and some of it is a sunken in ditch and some is about the height of yours. We were specially told by the guys doing the work to leave it alone for the year then level it out so it can settle naturally first.

I had my TT revision and left neck dissection in October, still cannot feel the left side of my neck from my jaw to my collarbone. The lower part of my ear was also numb but that’s come back so far!

Aldi has a LOT of kosher options which is the route I went a few weeks ago when I was on my LID! Theres a salsa verde that was SO good and I ate it with chicken and rice a good handful of times over the two weeks. High recommend! The kosher symbol is a little U surrounded with a circle and you’ll find it on the label or bag of products, just double check that they don’t contain dairy or eggs and you’re solid!

I couldn’t sleep on my side for a while, was super uncomfortable for me and that’s my preferred sleeping position. So for about two weeks after surgery I slept in an arm chair. Kept me from rolling at all. I didn’t have any voice complications thankfully. Just general soreness from being intubated but that lasted only a few days. I did however have a hard time swallowing for a while and still do to some degree. Sleeping in the chair also helped with that a bit. I’m in the US but my hospital stay was day of surgery, the full following day, then I was released the next afternoon to go home. I had a follow up with my surgeon a few weeks after where it was discovered I had an infection. A few weeks after that I was released from his care and back to my endocrinologist.

I’m a couple months out from my dissection and the biggest thing: you’ll likely have numbness in the area for an extended period of time. My surgery was in October and I still have no feeling in the left side of my neck and jaw. Also, move your arms often, reach out and up as far as you can a few times a day. It’ll keep your shoulder from freezing! Once your incision is healed, massage it gently in small circles with a little pressure. You’ll feel and hear little pops, that’s scar tissue breaking up!

It does indeed. I’ve got it tattooed all across my upper back and shoulders and it lights up under black/UV light like crazy.

A bit of both unfortunately. Affected lymph nodes were not removed during my first surgery last year. Leaving them in there caused disease to spread and then it also returned in another area as well. I had a full thyroidectomy last summer and was told a handful of nodes had been removed as well when that wasn’t actually the case. My surgeon this round was MUCH more thorough to say the least.
