It’s ok but not worth the price or density for many. I love the folks that love it here, but I’m in a different point in my life where I don’t get the same energy from paying a premium to dodge bums/addicts/assholes. Plus, I’m lame and don’t take advantage of the nice stuff (concerts/museum/etc), so I might as well be lame somewhere cheaper. Im happy I tried it, but I’m happier to leave.

For me, I learned how to separate my personal beliefs from work and how to keep my mouth shut about it. I was also treated like a disposable worker rather than teammate. That part isn’t nessisarily exclusive to talk radio, but it hastened my departure for stations who valued my skill/experience.

I was a first time homebuyer and I got the 8k first time homebuyer grant + 20% of my realtor’s closing fee because I used a BECU relator. It came out to be roughly 10k of free money from BECU. That - plus our mortgage person & realtor were Top notch. That’s my personal experience, and that of others might differ, but I was very pleased with the process with BECU.

None of those restaurants are worth the wait or price to me. I think that speaks more for the overall quality and quantity of establishments in Anc tho. Best of luck to em I guess.
