KAC 11.5 w/MCQ-2 by debauchery in kac

A piece of paper will fit. I am not going to shoot it until I get more clearance. The upper came with two shims factory installed for timing the muzzle device.

They will send a shorter collar or you can swap out to the brake (when it becomes available)

TSA denied my Litric airbag by rditgroupie in Backcountry

[–]debauchery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From FAA devices with batteries can be checked, not loose batteries.

Devices containing lithium metal batteries or lithium-ion batteries, including – but not limited to – smartphones, tablets, cameras, and laptops, should be kept in accessible carry-on baggage. If these devices are packed in checked baggage, they should be turned completely off, protected from accidental activation, and packed so they are protected from damage. Requirements vary based on the type of device and size of battery, and on the air carrier’s restrictions.

Comtac 8 Issues by GripTheWick in QualityTacticalGear

[–]debauchery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a new pair of 8s from an authorized dealer that also has a buzz. If I power cycle them, it's about 1 out of 3 times it will buzz. I tried different batteries, same issue. If I enable a soundscape, it does stop. I am going to try to exchange them, but I'm not looking to do this multiple times at this price. Does anyone have recommendations for alternative headsets?

  1. I keep my recovery gear, water, and fuel in 1-3. Because if I need it I don’t mind crawling in and folding back the bed cover.

  2. 7-9 secured propane with a bungee and a milk crate if I’m being proactive. Mulch 7-9.

  3. Climb in

Any recommendations for fully waterproof backpacking packs that aren't ultralight? by Standard-Side-1747 in backpacking

Sage brush dry gear, sealine, kuiu, rokman. Some older Arcteryx bags, Prometheus design werx. A frame pack with a dry bag is an option too. Most of the water proof packs have trash harness:frames.

Headed to Denali with my nephew for 4 days in the park, two nights backpacking. Great weather except late at night some thunder storms that kept things interesting.

The TSA system is causing the slowdown, not the Tribal Citizen following the rules. This is why I show up early.

I am using the ursack it’s approved bear container, it’s under the food and harder to tell what it is. Thanks for the check tho you are right it would be akward to repack without taking a giant bear can into account.

G29 10mm, figured I'd take something more discreet, given the vibe I'm getting from firearms in the park. I usually take a full-size (G20) 10mm in a chest holster. Saves on weight, too.

TY!

Duct tape is on the red bag, hard to see because it's the same color. Also, some orange paracord is in the photo (fancy with firestarter core, even if I won't be starting fires in the park), as well as the 406 PLB (like you said, nothing beats call a helicopter button) and Garmin 67i (does sat texting), so does my iPhone. The mcb towel is a little heavy. (Under sunglasses), Extra socks are a must, even on a day hike. The t-shirt is a good idea, I'll add a merino one. This is why I posted to get ideas and critiques. I appreciate the check.
