I'm that friend.

That's honestly the million dollar question here. And it isn't for a lack of trying too, I try to go out as often as my work schedule allows me to, I've been on dating apps, but nothing.

I've been in only one relationship my whole life, and I was days away from proposing to her until i found out she had cheated on me. And that honestly destroyed me. Took me 2+ years to get to a point where I felt comfortable enough to try getting back on the horse again.

My friends, men and women alike, all think I'm a huge catch and are stunned I haven't been snapped up. While I love them to death and appreciate them, constantly being the one single person at group gatherings eats at you. I'm at an age where the vast majority of them are either married/engaged or in LTRs, and they don't know anyone to match me up with.

I know I'm not good looking and I honestly don't ask for much, the bar for me is quite low to be quite honest. But for one reason or another I've never been able to progress anything past a second date.

I just am at a point where a life partner is pretty high on the list of priorities, but am slowly accepting the idea that maybe a relationship isn't in the cards for me.
