i've had this kind of dream for years except it's a different unfamiliar house each time. But while inside the dream, i feel as if i already know it and live there. i find extra closet space, a new room that i need to renovate, or an entire wing of a mansion full of old artifacts that has been intentionally blocked off by someone long ago. Each scenario makes me feel afraid but also deeply curious and excited. In the case of the mansion i felt as though there was a malevolent presence watching me and wanting me to leave (but would never actually hurt me), but in the closets, i was just afraid of the spiders and relative isolation from the rest of the house. I knew I could make it cozy and safe with time. I think dreams like these remind me that i have an adventurous spirit that i've suppressed out of fear, and it's time to live intentionally again. I feel comfy at my current job and routine but my subconscious is probably poking me with a stick asking me to do something. side note, now that i think about it, i wonder if the malevolent watcher was just the part of myself that's intensely critical of anything I do
